If I had a quarter for every Nebraska basketball game that Jed's ever seen I could buy 2 tootsie rolls and put a down payment on a condom
-------Collier and Sadler did not beat top 10 teams on the road.
They did not even beat top 25 teams on the road.
Winning on the road in College Basketball is 100 times harder than College Football. History shows that.

While I won't attempt to put words into Jed's mouth, it's just one game against a top 10 team. We aren't ranked, we won't be playing for a conference championship, and to put this coach on a pedestal at his point in his career (at Nebraska) is a bit over the top.
I don't want to see Nebraska as a one sport behemoth. We have a great v-ball team, and our women's basketball team isn't too shabby. I'd like to see our baseball team back to doing well. BUT we are nowhere near being "great' in men's basketball--yet.

If miles makes nebrasketball a premiere program, maybe wins a Championship/Final 4 appearances etc.
Devany/Osborne/Cook/Miles
Does miles surpass one of them? Our basketball program was awful, would this be a greater accomplishment than what devany and osborne built assuming miles can do it?
Thanks RA for all the love and support
Apparently Miles HAS TO HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED THIS TO TALK ABOUT IT, and we can't talk hypothetically for some folks here.
I can't really accurately rank Devaney because plain and simply I wasn't around to actually see him do what he did and really see what the competition was like back then.
I appreciate all that he did in getting Nebraska to where they were when Tom Osborne took over though.
I just look at what Nebraska was in the 90's and literally I've never seen another coach in any sport get a team to that level. We were like a fuggin machine.
