the Braves were a mediocre team through the first forty games of the season. Riley's bat injected new life to the team and they haven't really looked back since.

Braves were hovering around .500 until mid May and then they seemed to have flipped a switch(Acuna moved back to leadoff and Austin Riley coming up really gave us a much needed boost). We were down 4.5 games at one point.

Their schedule is gonna get a lot tougher after the AS break. Don't get me wrong, they're doing what they're supposed to do against the bad teams, but we're the only good team they've played in a month, and they lost that series at home.

There's not a lot of awful teams in the NL either though. Marlins, Mets, Giants, that's about it. They've been playing them along with the rebuilding teams of the AL Central for the whole month of June and early July.

And they've only faced us in 5 games this season, they're gonna have to deal with us a lot more in the second half. If they play us tough, they have a shot, but we've had their number in recent years, and we handle Scherzer better than most teams.
