Biggest SB robberies? First ones that come to mind...

Pats over Rams
Steelers over Seahawks
Ravens over Niners

I'll never forget the 1983 NFCCG between the Skins and the Niners. The Niners were robbed of going to the SB that year by two horrible calls late in the 4th quarter (PI and holding), essentially giving the Skins the win. Then again, the Skins getting crushed by the Raiders in the SB made me feel a little better.

PI? Umm, no. He breaks and makes a play on the ball.
Wilson threw it to Butler. Butler looked like he was the receiver if you track the path of that ball.

SB51. It's a travesty the NFC allowed the Falcons to waltz in along with their 6 fans.

Oh there were but it had been 30 years of futility. Once Kraft bought the Pats many more jumped onboard.

How does that not apply to the Modern Falcons?

No team has experienced as much Futility than them. Think about they watched the Bucs And Saints win Super Bowls, while choking away every chance they got...

Well for one we didn't have social media to talk shit on. Even when the Pats were sucking we had the Celtics, Sox and Bruins to cheer for and fully support. Atlanta not so much. Pro sports are an after thought in GA.

Well there is still the Eagles with an empty trophy case with a long tenure, so it could be worse, than being a modern Falcon fan. (Just sayin')

what say you? got to imagine the ref screwjob of seattle v pitt comes to mind....

I rank that one 2nd to the screw job the Rams got against the Patriots. What made it worse was the Raiders received the same exact screw job in the AFCCG just to get the Pats to the SB in the 1st place.

1. How did the Rams get screwed in that Super Bowl?

2. That wasn't the AFC Championship Game. And it was the right call.

They ran out all the time, which clearly they shouldn't. The Rams return game was very dangerous that year.
I agree, they should not have run out all the time.

The Rams kick return yardage that year was 23rd in the league, and they had 0 returned for a TD. But if you'd like to hang your hat on that one, go ahead.

The fact that this guy got a ring in the last Super Bowl is the greatest robbery of all time.

Yeah, I forgot Tony Horne was gone from that 2011 team, he was pretty good return man on the Rams. So was Hakim, I just imagine the Rams having Hakim on the kickoff return in the last play. Why wouldn't you, he was a dangerous return man.

He returned 0 kickoffs that entire year. And he was an average punt returner, 15th in the league.

You want to point to the sideline play where it looked like Redmond didn't get out of bounds, but they stopped the clock, I can at least acknowledge that Vinatieri's kick is probably tougher. But this argument has no weight, sorry.

It doesn't matter if the Rams were dangerous at return game or not, even though Hakim has return kickoff previously and always had a potential to break one because of his speed. Doesn't go against the fact that the Rams were wronged on both points. And the Rams had it figured out offensively going into overtime.

So they got two calls wrong that had a slight chance of affecting the outcome. Have you gone through the game tape to see if there were any bad calls against the Pats that may offset these? Come on. You scored 17 points, you didn't do enough to win the game, it wasn't a robbery.

Guess what, I was in the same boat 6 years later. Should I complain about the holding penalties that were ignored when Manning hit Tyree? No, because they scored 14 freaking points. They didn't do enough to win the game. End of story.

And can we definitely tell that Redmond was down in bounds?

Anyone ever remember seeing the 'tuck' rule called, before or after the 2001 playoffs? Yeah. Me neither.
