Lewin was great but Holtz was 100% vested into the Rangers. Finding balance to announce as well as being in love with the team is an art.Hello Perfect Game. The late great Mark Holz
Boy do I miss him. None better
Do you remember Dick Risenhoover when he was here like 1974 to 1977? I believe he passed away either on Opening Day 1978 or the evening before. We used to really enjoy him on the radio. His sidekick, Bill Merrill left a lot to be desired, but Risenhoover was very good on the radio broadcasts.Lewin was great but Holtz was 100% vested into the Rangers. EG says he can’t be a fan. Unfortunately it shows. He is a good reporter but currently Nadel is the number one fan He does not pull punches

His calls did not leave an impression. I must can’t remember too much.Do you remember Dick Risenhoover when he was here like 1974 to 1977? A guy I know was able to locate some audio. It includes his signature homerun call at the end.His calls did not leave an impression. I must can’t remember too much.
I went to games at turnpike then while in High School and even drove to KC to see Rangers for a series when they needed to sweep to clinch. Seems like they lost first game. We went to the opening game of the new ballpark with my late Mom and son sitting in the CF bleacher area. Later I took him dozens of times alot after midweek church for free for several seasons We eventually got season tickets. But he grew up and moved to Houston and I eventually gave up the tix when I moved for a job
Good times
in grade school in 60s I listened to Astros on radio until family moved to Dallas just in time for Ranger move
Foscue looked real big to me He needed to let the bat do more of the work.I’m glad Foscue is healthy and seemingly swinging the bat decent but I hope he starts to show some more power as the season winds down.
