Othani may have a new team before long
He is exciting but no one said he is smartGarcia you swing at that pitch for strike 3 every freaking time and you cant hit it with a 37" bat
With an extended contract.I would love to have that dude
Very good for both.
With an extended contract.
Okay Bush, lets don't make this more difficult than it is.
Several weeks ago I said that I fully expected the Rangers to trade away 5 to 8 of their top 20 prospects by the July31, 2022 trade deadline. I don't know that I am as convinced of that at the present as I was then, but I still think it is a strong possibility. Since I went out on a limb, I will stay on the limb.
One thing I thought of since then is that I need to make some kind of list of top 20 prospects to use in about 5 months to see how inaccurate I was. There is some wide discrepancy in the various lists regarding these type of rankings after you get to about number 10 or so. I have decided to look at some of the lists and try to come up with an amalgamation.
I will lean towards the lists of Prospects 1500, Keith Law, MLB Pipeline, Prospects Live, and Jeff Wilson. I have a little bit of an idea of Baseball Prospectus' list, but not really the order they had them in, so I am looking at theirs, but not giving it as much weight as I might have, if I could view it in its entirety.
These aren't necessarily in order. The further you go down the list the harder I found it to come up with as much agreement though.

Jung

Vanasco
Foscue
Smith
Duran
Carter
Harris
Zavala
Acuna
Huff
Wendzel
Roby
Morrobel
Acosta
Bradford
Hauver
Henriquez
Just outside of the top 20 are Alexy, Kent, and Gutierrez.
So there we have it. Let's see just how many of those top 20 guys get traded. I hope not many at all.
that trade occurred before the season started not a few weeks agoI sure hope I don't turn out to be right about this. One of those guys, Henriquez, has already been traded.
figure we will make some moves that involve minor tics to the roster but nothing involving major prospects in the system
