All 3 still have their traditions. Those never ceased. All you are considering are the championships. There is more to it than that.

Well, I just don't think anyone is going to name them a traditional power, and I think there is good reason for it.

I just love the history and tradition aspect of it. The fact Texas can lose 4-5 games and that's considered mediocre by the entire nation is pretty cool, b/c the expectations are set so high. Whereas, 4-5 loss seasons are celebrated as excellence at the majority of the programs in the country. Some schools will even make their head coach the 3rd highest paid coach in the country for losing 4 games

It's fun being an Alabama fan because everyone is your rival :suds:

Awburn
Tennessee
LSU
Miss State
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Florida

They all have considered Alabama as rivals, and were at some point in time.

Only Texas, Michigan, Georgia and Notre Dame have as many teams call them rivals.

That's pretty gawd dayun funny. Especially since those two made Tebow their bitch his final "big" last season at da Gatah.

LOL. You really know your history. McCarron was a redshirt for Tebow's last season.

USC, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame ( amongst others ) etc etc?? To 100% KNOW that your team is always going to get the benefit of the doubt or the nod over a lesser known team when it comes to the bowls or the new playoff?? NOt judging, hell Id LOVE it if Iowa were that way. Is it awesome?? Or is it tiring defending your team all the time and do you sometimes feel bad ??

You mean "what's it like to lose to the Gamecocks last time you played them?"

It's nice when your team wins more than they lose.

It's even better when they are in contention for the Conference championship frequently.

It's even better than that when they are in contention for National Championships.

Losses hurt more when you're used to those things. Losing hurts less when your favorite team isn't that good. So, be careful what you wish for.

Disappointment amplified.
