What I'm looking for in the Montreal game.

I want this team to shell Carey Price. I want a consistent effort, and hard work.

I'm not demanding a win although it would certainly be nice, but I just want this team to start playing good hockey, because if that happens you will win enough games over the next 6 months to be in the playoffs.

Hopefully new lines bring new energy..from what I've read they got some of their fire back in these past few practices.now they just have to carry it over into the game

I'm hoping that Marty really steps up this game and shows he's still an elite goalie.

He plays his best hockey in Montreal.


Beyond that, the team should realize that they are going to need to outwork the other team to get consistent wins. Thats what all Devils teams do. They can't sit back and relax just because they now have high end offensive talent.

They just need to sustain their good play. There has been some good play throughout most of the games so far this season but it just doesn't last. i dunno why they're having a problem with 2nd periods but it needs to be solid all around. How many times do you hear it, you gotta play well for 60 minutes. not 20 or even 40.

60 minutes is the key! Look at game 7 vs Carolina in the 09 quarterfinals, we played 58 and a half solid minutes and it wasn't enough. Go devils!

1. A full 60 minutes of good hockey. (Included in that is no letdown in the 2nd period!)

2. No bad goals early on. I think they've been killing the momentum lately.

If those 2 things happen, I'll take my chances.

Montreal game gave me some relief and believe for future which I had anyway. But this game brought us to real Devils. Good defense, reliable goalie and converting chances.
Way to go Devils!
