What if Jay Cutler goes to Houston, Denver, etc. and wins the Superbowl?

I'd be laughing at the Bears and cheering Cutler on. I get people hate him because he came off a little arrogant in front of the media and he 'quit' on his team in the playoffs, but give me a break. He's better than anything the Bears had in decades.

He had to QB a team with a completely inept front office, zero support on the O-Line, and worst of all deal with penis face Martz for a while who routinely thought running the spread offense in the NFL was a viable option.

I'll never get the "toughness" questions with Cutler. Is he a streaky QB that can frustrate you to the point of madness? Absolutely. But his toughness was never a question for me. The dude played pro football with type 1 diabetes without even knowing ffs?

He had a grade 2 groin tear in 2013, and was back on the field in 18 days. That is a 4 week MINIMUM injury.

He took a fucking beating the first few years in Chicago.

What if the Vikings didn't overpay for Sam Bradford?

Cutler was good when healthy but had a bad habit of throwing INT's in crucial situations.

I agree to an extent. To me, the thing that stood out about him, was that he would play great against a superior team, and then shit the bed against teams they should have easily beat.

He actually had many 4th quarter wins for the Bears, but then would follow em' up the next week with a total clunker.

That, and he just seems to have a permanent black cloud over him. Terribly unlucky. 2011 was the best example of this. The Bears were rolling. Probably the hottest team in the NFC, sitting at 7-3 and facing San Diego. They were up in the game, when Cutler threw a pick(WR fell down, so it wasn't even his fault) but he chased the DB down and saved a pick six, but broke his goddamned thumb in the process. The Bears go on to lose their next 4 against a terrible AFC West, (5 of 6 total)including a 10-6 loss to the Tim Tebow-led Broncos, to finish 8-8.

Another would be 2012, losing in week 15 on ostensibly a Hail Mary on the last play of the game to GB, to basically get knocked out of the playoffs despite a 10-6 season.

I am glad they are moving on, because the kid seems cursed. I just wish we had a better replacement plan in place.

Great post. I don't think most people realize how incredibly unlucky Cutler has been in his career. In all my years of watching football, I don't think I've ever seen a player as unlucky as Cutler. Freak plays causing him to miss the playoffs, constant changing of offensive coordinators, horrible offensive lines, etc. I still wonder how great he could've become had he been in a good situation. Maybe he'll finally be in a better situation in the last few years of his career, but knowing his luck I doubt it.

Of course it all comes from him being pulled from the championship game. Lovie Smith pulled him after he threw a pass into the ground because he couldn't put any pressure on his knee, but uninformed people still claim Cutler pulled himself. What they don't know is that at halftime Cutler demanded an injection that was dangerous for a person with diabetes, just so that he could go back in the game. THAT'S how tough he is. Yet people claim he isn't. It's laughable.

Elway wasn't even with the Broncos when Cutler was dealt, doofenschmirtz.

John Elway actually said that if he was in charge in 2009, there's a good chance that Cutler would have stayed with the Broncos. He said Cutler is a player you don't give up on. Elway has had mostly good things to say about Cutler, so don't be shocked if he's interested. Romo is his first choice. If that doesn't work out, I'm guessing Cutler would be his 2nd choice.

What if Donovan McNabb drank Pepto Bismol before the Super Bowl?

Would that stain on the back of his pants been pink instead of that ugly brown?????

Would that change the consensus opinion of him by fans? I think it's possible. He's always had the skills but not the leadership qualities or the talent around him?

Yes it would.

But to be honest I won't be paying attention since my time spent on my island retreat with Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie has left me exhausted.

trolling me?

yes, the team with the pedigree of Elway knew they did not have a franchise quarterback in Cutler, so he was traded away while fleecing the bears for 18th and 84th in 2009 and 11th overall in 2010.

I think you got the names backward. Wasn't it Larry Jennifer and Rob Margot?
