I wish the owners would quit pussyfooting around. Go to a 162 game schedule. Play nearly every damn day. Quit being pussies. One fucking game a week. Pffft.

As talks continue for a new collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the players' union, the most dramatic proposal on the table from owners is an expanded regular season to 17 games that could eliminate preseason games in their entirety, sources told ESPN.

So how is that 17th game going to work? A 16-game schedule with the 32-team league sets up nicely. What would determine who plays who in Game 17?

16 games is already pushing it, injury-wise. If anything, they should reduce the amount of games (which, I know, they'll never do).
