This was probably the best pass protection that our OL has given Russel for the two years he has been in the league. All week the moronic experts talked about how Wilson has to be kept in the pocket, don't let him get outside, blah blah blah. Well, he was protected, he stood in the pocket, and he delivered strike after strike for 3rd down conversions and touchdowns. He played lights out with zero mistakes.
Part of this though was the lack of pass rush that the Denver defense presented. Our division rivals will not be so easy on us. If we want to repeat, we have to build a better OL. Draft, free agency, I don't care how they do it just do it! Get an OL that will protect Russell so that he can sit back and pick apart defenses like he did yesterday.
And maybe get him a big, bad WR that will can anything thrown in his direction.
