I personally like the way it is now - 8-12 teams in a conference. 16 is too much for a conference. At least with split 12 team conferences, you get plenty of cross division games and OOC games. With 16 team conferences, you have 4 OOC and 2 cross division or 3 OOC and 3 cross division. I like having 4 OOC and 3 cross-division. Or with the 10, you can play all or almost all. A 16-team super-conference just seems like you putting 2 8-team conferences together and calling it 1 conference.

16 would mean 4 OOC and 1 cross division or 3 OOC and 2 cross division.

I think anything more than 10 is too much. I live the round Robin formula and 3 ooc games. unfortunately the economics favor large conferences and I don't want my favorite team getting left behind so I'm hoping for a pac 16.

I like a 12 team conference as well. Not a fan of this super conference stuff. Hopefully after adding a&m and a 14th member, they will leave it at that, but I doubt it.

As long as my team isn't left out in the cold during this whole shit storm and preferably gets away from UT I don't have a problem at all with it. Would hope for a pod system so it actually has some kind of conference feel to it (i.e. playing every team in conference more than once every 10 years.)

Not a big fan of the "super conferences", 12 and a CCG is the way to go IMO.

FWIW im not a big fan of a playoff either, although i'd support a +1.

and who determined 16 was the number to shoot for? 14 is the limit in my opinion, but id rather it stay at 12.

Superconferences will accomplish 2 major things: destroy the bowls, and eliminate the NCAA

The entire bowl system will be destroyed with superconferences, which is why nobody in power wants to see them happen. LOTS of money to be lost - or rather, controlled exactly the way the old guard wants it to be controlled.

The NCAA is not a body that can regulate superconferences, so a new organization would need to be created. More than likely you'd then HAVE to have a playoff system.

For these reasons I am all for superconferences.
