Come on. This wasn't a hidden camera expose into the secret betting habits of the Hollywood elite. This was a completely set up, pre planned, pre scripted, "bet" made 100% to get views on social media. While they can both obviously afford the bet, I wouldn't be even a little surprised if no money at all changes hands. I don't know if it's even legal to bet on sports with another person. I know it's highly illegal to bet on sports through a bookie, anywhere but vegas. Cops probably aren't going to come after you for a $5 bet with your best friend. But $250,000 bet that was publicized online? That's just asking to be audited on top of questionable legality.

On top of all that, who would bet on Pacquiao straight up when you can get much better odds at an actual sports book.

TLR I think most likely this bet was 100% fiction and these assholes just wanted to stay (become) relevant.
