As will the Patriots 16-0 season. Also, no team had ever gone 18-0 before. Yet, no one talks about what great regular season they had, they just talk about how they didn't finish the job.

The problem is, not finishing the job pretty much makes that meaningless. The previous all time regular season record holders finished the job and won championships.
That's one perception- but history is recorded for a reason. And they've made history in many categories so there will be more to talk about than just how many games they won. Steph broke-excuse me- shattered the 3pt made record, this team is the best road team in history thus far, they never lost to the same team twice, never lost back to back games all season which also extended into the first two rounds of the post season and I'm sure there are a couple more that I've left off.

Whether they win the title or not they have a lot to be proud of....I don't see any other team that's made history along this journey.

When you win 73 games and are the defending champs. The only way your season can be looked as a success if you win the ship.

All those regular season accomplishments would mean nothing

Best team to not win a trophy. Not something to be proud of.

Ask the 2002 Kings.

I'D watch a Thunder/Raps finals. Why not...?
Never...and I don't think I'm alone. Maybe that will learn the league to stop changing the outcome of games via their refs and let the teams play ball.

What he really said is: I've made as much of an ass of myself as I can, it's all down hill from here.....

I swore this shit off but I'll respond to this. Was Curry not being held open armed by multiple guys every time when he was running off the ball? Is that not a foul? Why didn't they call that? It is a foul. And they were blatant about it. The league is a fucking joke. That's a foul. Call it. That's all I'm asking. The league won't deliver it, and they haven't delivered it in years. Go ahead and watch the shit if you want, but it isn't basketball.

Damn..... I'm so glad the league pussed out and didn't suspend Green like they should have. I'm glad Draymond had to be a part of this debacle. Nothing makes me happier than seeing that douchebag fall flat on his face.

Ain't taking ANYTHING away from the Dubs, but even YOU have to admit they've dug a nice deep, tidy hole for themselves ...

Perhaps....but if there's a team more than capable of digging themselves out of said "nice deep tidy hole"...it'd be these Warriors....and that can not be denied by anyone.

A whole lot of you posters talking shit about Golden State are, quite frankly, being very disrespectful to the fucking amazing ass performance in these playoffs OKC is putting on.

Including the Spurs series, these mother fuckers are kicking ass!

Seriously kicking ass.

I'm sure they will still take pride in their accomplishments from this season, but they'll all feel the sting of not finishing the deal, and they definitely wouldn't be in the discussion of greatest teams like they had hoped for.

Wrong...they only mean nothing to fans of teams that haven't been able to do the same.

Sure, having regular season records is something to be proud of, but no title will still render the records basically meaningless.

Ask yourself this, before the season started, if given the choice between breaking regular season records or winning another title, what would the players, coaches, FO, etc. all say? Heck, what would the fans say?

History is recorded to serve as a reminder of what happened in the past. In this case, it would be a reminder of a team that broke a lot of records, but couldn't finish the job. It's harsh and it sucks, but it's the world of professional sports. There are no participation trophies.

Seriously kicking ass.

Power rankings had the Spurs at #1 and the Warriors at #2. If OKC finishes the Warriors in 5, then the power rankings were right that the Spurs were better than the Warriors. The power rankings just didn't account for OKC improving and figuring things out in the playoffs, as they are obviously #1 right now.

Yeah you're right. Sure will be fun to brag about 73 wins after losing in the conference finals. Sounds like a blast
