It looked to me that the puck was still touching makars blade right when it crossed the line but idk :noidea:
I thought the play was offsides.

But, in slo mo, I'm guessing he kept the puck on his stick and pushed it ahead right at the blue line and it's not offsides unless his stick remains in contact with the puck?

This was a new one for me.

They said that it was a "dump in" and the Nichu "touched up" before Makar touched it again.

They can say whatever they want. No amount of BS is going to make that a good call. He was touching it as it was crossing the line. A dump in is from the other side of the line.

It looks like the puck is touching /in contact with makars blade over the blue line when nichushkin is offside :noidea:

It makes zero sense. I've been watching hockey since the 70's and I've never seen anything like that. The puck left the oilers zone. Then it was touched by an Av player and brought back. Av player never came close to leaving the oilers zone before the puck came back in, and that is somehow not offside? I'm thoroughly stumped here.

If makar pushes it over the line and doesnt touch the puck until nichushkin clears the zone its onside but i still say makars blade was touching the puck :noidea:

Touched up? He never left the zone. Not even close. If that's actually some obscure rule that makes that play legit I have to admit I've never seen anything like it before.

I don't think Nicu ever cleared the zone. Or am I wrong about that? I thought he stopped about a foot from the blue line and joined the play.

From what I'm reading, the explanation is they think it's just a tag-up where Makar shoots the puck in and doesn't enter the zone/touch the puck until #13 clears the zone. The question I have is was it a distinct shoot-in?
