can’t include that as part of it. But yes the chain reaction is bad
The funny thing is everyone was talking about how bad CP3 and RW contracts were...now they absolutely have the worst contract in the NBA. Houston we have a problem

Acquiring Cris Paul was the start of Morey running away. Can't blame the new guy for dealing with someone else's bad hand.
Yeah no doubt, this is all Morey. At least they have what might be a nice future 1st now

I don't think this makes either team better, especially long term since the contracts are basically the same. The Wizards are still foolishly (which tbf, is the natural order of the Wizards) trapped with a team they need to tear down and start over but refuse to do so. And Houston didn't really improve itself either because its not like Wall will be a dramatically better fit. The only positive for Houston is they at least managed to recoup a 1st round pick since they've dealt so many away. But even that could be a wash because there's a very real chance that Wall isn't even close to the player he once was, meaning you're stuck with dead money and a worse team.

Is this three years Out of four that Houston has brought someone in to play PG?

I don't understand why Harden can't just be that guy. Really don't get it.

Harden need to go back to his real position of shooting guard

Westbrook>Wall always been that way so it makes Washington better. I actually like Washington roster. With Russ and Beal, you have 2 top 20 players then you have plenty of young talent surrounding them then there's also 2 decent bigs.

Houston won’t be relevant until Gordon and wall are gone anyway. So the pick being pushed back to then is fine.

this trade makes sense for everyone

That was my thought. Good trade where both teams did something right. Houston is not trying to win now.

How long until Beal gets fed up with Russ?

They should be fine. Russ never been known as selfish or a bad team and unlike Harden, Beal is happy to be a shooting guard. He doesn't need the ball in his hands at all times. I think this will work as well as Russ and PG and i think Beal is a better offensive player than George

Both contracts are horrible. So I give it to Houston for getting the pick. But trading Wall also will be impossible.

No.

Westbrook isn’t a good contract. But his deal could pretty easily be flipped to a wanna be contender with cap space and/or expiring contracts in future seasons.

Wall’s deal is just flat out awful.

This deal marks the end of Houston as a relevant team in the west.

He's better but if healthy.....Wall is no scrub. Especially, if he decides to feed Harden.

Harden doesn’t get fed because he always has the ball and stands at half court when he doesn’t.

Unless he completely changes his style of play, this is an even worse fit.

Houston was a 4 seed......they should still be good enough to make the playoffs with Wall (if healthy) and adding Cousins (also if healthy)......

Wood is the intriguing add here.

Cousins and Wall are more likely to hurt this team than help it. At least relative to what they lost.

I disagree.

He just took a losing hand and made it worse.

But he is still calling all the bets.

If Houston trades Harden, this deal still isn’t good, but it makes a little bit of sense.

If they keep Harden, it makes no sense at all.

Any team wirh Harden on it is f’d, and that is the truth. Westbrook, Wall, Lebron, it doesn’t matter, they are Fd.
