Good trade for Houston IMO. Woj bomb.

Same number of years. Waste of a first for the Wizards.

Unless they really think Wall is washed this seems terrible.

Initial thoughts for both teams. It's obvious that the Westbrook/Harden partnership didn't work. Arguably the worst season in the last 4 years for Houston. Probably best to get one of the two headed ego trip out of there before things get too bad and too toxic in the locker room.

Here's my worry about John Wall. He hasn't played a game since December of last year and he's gonna be closer to 31 years old at the start of the season and he will be playing on a twice surgically repaired knee/leg. I ALMOST wanna say that the Wizards will get the best ROI. With Avdija, Westbrook, Bertans and Beal? That's not a bad group of guys.

Both contracts are horrible. So I give it to Houston for getting the pick. But trading Wall also will be impossible.

someone fill me in on NBA stuff........how is wall for westbrook a wash?

Westbrook>Wall by a goood bit yes?

The cap hits are almost exactly the same and the contract is the same lenght right?

does a first make up the difference between westbrook and wall? In a league where stars rule......

Meh, not really. I mean the 1st could be nice a couple years but Washington can compete for a lower playoff spot and the fit with Beal is better. Wall and Harden is a lesser version of RW-Harden except now you have an even worse contract and a very injury prone player

Westbrook is has lost a lot as he is beginning to lose his athleticism. Similar, Wall speed is in question after multiple leg injuries.

Both are paying 45 a year for the next 3 years for massively dwindling returns.

The only thing that is a net positive for either side in the trade is the 1st.

Houston won’t be relevant until Gordon and wall are gone anyway. So the pick being pushed back to then is fine.

this trade makes sense for everyone

Houston was a 4 seed......they should still be good enough to make the playoffs with Wall (if healthy) and adding Cousins (also if healthy)......

For people thinking Houston won this trade kinda got look at when it all started

can’t include that as part of it. But yes the chain reaction is bad
