I wasn't because I believe that the Packers did not lose the game on that one call

We kinda did though... If that call is pass interference we win. So we did lose on that one call. There's not even any hypothetical scenarios. If that call is called correctly we win and the game is over.

Questionable and judgement calls are part of the game. Everything is happening lightning fast, if a QB's head snaps back there will be a flag. Hell if any player's head snaps back from a big hit there will probably be a flag. You can bitch about the details after it's thrown but once that flag comes out it's over.

Next time... I hope Brooks takes his head off so they can see what that really looks like.

I will never be convinced this is not a clean hit...

I know that you're still denying being Supers, but when you were him you went on and on about this being a dirty hit.

Not me, we're not all the same you know.

Much like you and other niner fans. You still think Kap is good, most have realized that he is not.

Hard to say they were robbed when Corey White was down by contact and Kaepernick grounded in the end zone.

Perhaps you're on to something there..... Any chance Kaep changes position? TE may work because he doesn't have the balls to play QB.

The tackle was 2 to 3 yards inside of him pelican, thats not intentional grounding. If he is outside of the tackle, he is not in the pocket.

The first gif that was posted shows a clean hit to me, and I would have to agree with breaker that it was a bad call. However, that later gif that shows brees going to the ground almost looks as though he was drug down down by the neck. If that clothes-line had turned into a bear hug and a belly flop onto brees then I think there would be no flag thrown

No its not. Its a comment that is tired of watching certain specific players get more protection than others.

And Tom Brady is another one that gets special treatment.

Ohhh shut up this has nothing to do with Tom Brady. It was an illegal hit all there is to it, man up shut up and leave it alone. Comments like I hope next time he takes his head off are asinine, uncalled for, and generally posted by people that have no appreciation for the game, it's juvenille at best.

You shut up. Many others say what I am saying. And it has everything to do with Tom Brady. He is one of the NFL's little bitches that gets protected by rules that get enforced more strictly when he is in the game, Bree's is another one.

From NFL.com....

"It was a borderline hit. It's easy to identify with Brooks' frustration on a game-changing call. At the same time, one can see how a referee would see the hit as a clothesline across the neck in real-time game speed.

For better or worse, officials are going to keep protecting marquee players at football's most important position."

Yahoo Sports:

"NEW ORLEANS – He is Drew Brees, and with that name comes a measure of entitlement. Primarily that entitlement is protection from the men who police the NFL. They ensure he will not be subjected to the most eager, overzealous and violent of hits. When you are one of six quarterbacks in league history to throw for 49,000 yards, a flying tackle from a 259-pound man aimed high at your body is going to draw a penalty.
And that is the reality San Francisco 49er linebacker Ahmad Brooks absorbed as he stood before his locker on Sunday night, his 15-yard roughing the passer penalty likely being the difference between a Niners win and a 23-20 loss to the Saints."

I'm guessing the ref saw the whiplash effect of Brees' helmet and where the defender's arm was, and the aftereffect and decided the flag was warranted. They're going to flag that every time if the hit is on a QB or WR.

In slow motion though, I'm 50/50 on it to be honest. It looked like Brooks was in the process of trying to wrap him up, but his body hit him before he could get his arms around Brees which made the hit look like a wrestling move. Unfortunate break for the 49ers. It's easier to break it down in slow motion rather than being a ref who had to make a judgement call right on the spot though with no reviews on penalties.

I'm sorry, but that flag is thrown 9 out of 10 times regardless of the QB. Like it or not, it's the rules. Let's not point at this one play as the deciding factor. The niners has many chances to change the outcome just like the Saints had many chances to widen the lead. Bottom line: the better team won.

If u hit a QB in the head or neck area, it IS a flag, there is no discussion. He intentionally went for the shoulderpad, but his bicep went directly into Brees' neck.....is it unfortunate that Brees is so short that Brooks had no choice but to barrel into his neck? Yes. Is it the right call? Yes.

Absolutely. That official should never ref even a pop Warner game again. That was atrocious.

Ray Lewis called the hit the worse thing since the tuck rule. Said he will personally pay half brooks fine if he is fined. He also called out Bree's for saying.. "I knew it had to be a flag because I got hit so hard"... Ray lewis basically calls Brees a pussy.... I kind of agree.

Ray Lewis put it best... "He can't do nothing else"

The hit looked clean to me but in today's NFL if they see a head snap back they're gonna call it every time.
