I didn't just site W/L.
His ERA was mentioned. Half run difference is significant, to me.

These guys in the NBA and MLB are such pussies. If it's too much for them they should just shorten the season already. And how cocky is that for the Red Sox to act like they should pace themselves in the regular season so they will be rested when they make the postseason?A bitch move.
He's your ace.
And all of this is gonna look pretty dumb when the Yankees win the division by 3 games, and then they lose the Wild Card game, all the while, their healthy ace, who is one of the top pitchers in the league has 3-5 fewer starts than every other team's ace.

he was just as bad in may as he was in august.Meh. I don't think that's it.
I think they're trying to spare Chris Sale's delicate ego. He didn't make it past July last year, let alone the playoffs, but "we're doing this to be fresh for the playoffs" sounds a lot better than "we're doing this so our brittle bitch ace can make it though August."

peripherals were nice, but gave up a lot of big hits and HR's.
he used his fastball WAY too much last year. like the article said, his college coach said "you threw 97 in your first spring training start".Yeah, you're right.
I guess he's only a 3-month starter.
may he had a 4.27 ERA, and a 1.041 WHIP
august he had a 4.38 ERA and a 1.054 WHIP
both months were his 2 highest IP totals by month. coincidence?
pedro had the yankeesNo, not a coincidence, being that his August could have ended after the first five innings and he'd have had a 12+ ERA.
Honestly, the real problem he had with August was that he had to face the Indians twice and they whopped his ass like a one-legged Honduran prostitute with a hairlip, and broke his spirit.
14.63 ERA.
Take those two starts out, and he had a 1.55 ERA in August.
He pitched 6 games in May and August and 5 games in all the other months. coincidence?he used his fastball WAY too much last year. like the article said, his college coach said "you threw 97 in your first spring training start".
i think he goes back to what he did back in 16 when his K numbers were down. more breaking balls, not so deep in counts.

coincidence?
thats kinda what i said.He pitched 6 games in May and August and 5 games in all the other months. coincidence?
Then I don't get the point. I'm assuming the reason he had more games in those months is just because of the way the days fell, not that they changed his routine to fit in an extra start those months. That shouldn't affect his ERA. What am I missing?thats kinda what i said.
