Don't even know why I'm bothering to respond, but oh well. There is for sure trauma involved when it comes to extreme bullying. You just don't understand the situation. So I'm done here. There's no point in continuing to debate in endless circles that will never accomplish anything. I'll just await the conclusion.

A grown adult can not be bullied. It is not possible.

Deny reality all you'd like. It doesn't change the fact that there's no excuse for a grown man to be anything near as pathetic as Martin was.

I do agree that this in no way PTSD . It is simple bullying. Martin is a pussy for sure...he will be for the rest of his life. Incognito will be a bully the rest of his life....if he hasn't outgrown it now ,he never will.To say that this goes away when people mature is not accurate.

The reality is they both have mental defects and one of them wouldn't have snapped had the other one not exercised their stupidity upon them. Now that the world knows that both of them are unstable, neither of them are attractive to NFL teams anymore.

Thanks. I'll take this as your admission you have nothing more to add to the conversation (as if you actually have already added anything but heated emotions).

And it is still ironic you are back to personally attacking again and calling names, but tell everyone else to not do so to you because you never do this. :laugh3:

You are way too easy to expose.

LOL yeah right whatever ?

more critically than you because I don't buy into stuff just because a sheep filled majority are easily influenced. Thought crime laws are the product of a co-dependent ,dumbed down society

I worry that this individual may own a firearm. If there is a stronger argument for gun control than this guy, I don't know what it is.

Currently trending as February 2014's stupidest statement on the Internet.

this particular case has nothing to do with so called bullying. It , like the word harassment is abused too often now. Sure you can loosely define it to make it seem like that whats going on here but for the most part its just one dumb ass bothering another and the other not doing anything to stop it.

this whole thing is childish and dumb from both angles so why is it such a hot topic for all of you here?
smart people don't get in these situations.

But he did do something he walked away. I know people want Martin to have punched Icognito out but shouldn't there be something to show Martin's strength in he just decided to walk away from a bad situation even though he was leaving millions of dollars on the table? And in all of this at least up to this point he has not went after any kind of money or lawsuit against Miami. He just wanted to get away from it and did. At the beginning of this he didn't seek any attention but the media just kept digging to see why a player of his caliber walked away from the game and eventually found the story. He has rarely talked to the media throughout all of this and most of what we know comes from an internal investigation not what Martin tried to get out in the media.

no, he did in fact make noise about this and agreed to do interviews and stuff. He did not simply walk away. He also still expects to/wants to play again

Pretty sure the story was brought out by somebody else than him and he turned down lots of interview opportunities. He also isn't looking to make any money off of this from what I can tell just wanted to get out of a destructive environment. Other NFL teams have said that Miami's locker room is nowhere near like any of the others and that what happened to Martin wouldn't happen elsewhere. Now whether that is true or not we shall see. The NFL investigated and found it to be a horrible environment. Even the head coach in Miami was disgusted with what was happening under his own nose. So my guess is Martin could do just fine in one of the better locker rooms in the NFL where that kind of crap doesn't happen.

agreed. thousands of adults (if not millions) are mentally/emotionally bullied every day at their workplace or at home.

Adults DO have 'free will' and can technically leave the bullying workplace or home on their own, but sometimes it is not that easy. maybe they have no where else to go and need the money/food/shelter. you can bring the authorities into it as an adult but a lot of times that just makes the situation worse.

i believe martin did a horrible job of handling this situation and most likely just didn't want to play football anymore and this was his way out, but to say adults can't get bullied is incorrect. i believe martin WAS bullied but i also believe most younger players in the NFL get bullied also but they fight through it and it probably makes them stronger and that's why teams don't discourage it.

I said from that start that it all happened and that Martin is a pussy for taking the inside of the locker room to the press. They are not weak for not preventing anything, because there is nothing that needed to be prevented. If a grown man needs someone else to intervene for him, he is not a man in any sense of the word.

Dude I have stuck up for men that were overmatched by size or no#s. I wish someone stood up for that 150lb father that was killed by the 260lb truck driver at their kids hockey game in Mass 10 years ago. That father that was killed was a single parent of 5 kids, and I remember the news clips when one of his really young kids climbs into the casket at the funeral, trying to wake his father up.. So much for being a man. Its ok to fuck around a little at work, but when you call someone's mom a whore, that crosses the line. I wouldnt notify my employer, just cave that motherfuckers head in

Of course you can. "Mental issues" is a bullshit excuse. It's a code for "I'm mentally weak and don't even have the balls to admit it." It's akin to someone calling their addiction or the fact that they're a fat piece of lard a disease.

How would you catergorize that kid who killed 20 6 yr old kids in Newtown CT including his mother teachers or that guy who lights a movie theatre at Batman opening. Seau had that bullshit excuse that took his life including others like Tony Dorsett who said he tried taking his own life. Im sure a lot has to do with concussions

Those are actual, legitimate, definable illnesses, and I would still blame the individual for being worthless scum.

Martin is making pathetic excuses for being a pathetic and weak human being.

So you blame the r*pe victim who dressed like a hooker for asking for it then right?

Martin does have a mental condition and no one argues he did things exactly wright. He should have gone to his HC long before it got that bad. But it still doesn't excuse the trigger of his event given that it was over the top and above the normal amount of razzing or even hazing that happens in every other locker room and several players and staff said so.

Sure, the chick shouldn't dress like a hooker if they want to be safe, but we still rightfully lock up those who took advantage of it.

So women verbally abused by their husband are not bullied? Or physically abused for that matter?
