As for why the trolls would come here - that's obvious. To get an audience and annoy people. But as was said, much better control here to get rid of the riff raff.

As to Squatch, no shame in stalking and sorry you didn't get an invite. I'm sure there are 100 good posters that have been missed at this point.

Really, all it takes is one semi-curious poster over there to find the site, make a mention of it in a thread, and then the floodgates would open. We would just need to be prepared for such an eventuality. It will happen, I just hope it isn't until after the playoffs.

Meh, no worries. I was not exactly the most active or memorable of posters. But, I do enjoy good hockey conversation and that is to be found here.

Allow me to wax poetic here and say I knew there was a reason I kept hanging around the General board despite all the trolling lunacy. I could see that there was a quality core of people that gave that board a pulse, and now that most of us are here, it has never been more apparent.

Agreed on all points. Many times I ventured over to the NHL Board to talk about something but got frustrated so quickly, while reading through some of the posts, I just decided to say "fuck it, my point will be lost anyway" and just kind of walked away form it. I would venture back a few days later. I never really found the niche to jump in until finally I just forced myself into a few Caps threads. I am glad I did, as it has been informative and a lot of fun.

This setup is exponentially better and the crowd is cool. I have to say though, looking back on th general board is kind of sad. I mean look at it right now. Ithas been completely shelled, like Dresden in February of 45. All of that after 2 days over here. There is nothing left, nothing....

Kind of sad really....

Over the years, the idea of having a mass exodus has been tried many times over on "the pit". Many have suggested sites, few have left permanently and some have created their own sites.
