Weirdest game result this season?

Now that we are deep into the season and have a lot more game data to assess the teams, what do you guys think the most wtf result has been this season?

early on, maryland 37, west virginia 0 raised my eyebrows.

but now, i'm not so sure west virginia 30, oklahoma state 21 isn't the winner.

what are some other games that are just head scratchers as the season goes on?

1st WV at OSU and I am sure the Cowboy fans are sick over that one too what a difference it could have made this year.

washington state beat usc and arizona on the road too. they aren't terrible. have a good chance at getting to a bowl game.

The USC vs ASU game had me wondering wtf.

USC has the defense.


I think in their players only meeting some of the defensive guys stayed a little extra and tanked the game to get kiffen fired.

I can't think of any other reasonable explanation.

usc's defensive performance in that game was pretty weird... but arizona state is pretty good so it wasn't THAT shocking looking back at it.

For me it was. When you factor in the timing of the players meeting, and subsequent firing of kiffen and that shit goes straight to the x files.

Duke over Miami and Penn State beating Michigan both came as a big surprise. Oregon losing to Stanford was a shock.

Akron vs Michigan. Akron had only won 3 games the previous three season and hadn't won a road game in three years. But Akron is up to 4 wins now and two road wins. Go Zips!!!!

It's not really surprising at all when you look at Clemson's track record of WTF games most years in recent memory.

Well it's hard enough to get 5 people to agree on something let alone a conspiracy to get the coach fired!

I don't think the whole team was involved, just most of the defense lol

I despise Kiffin just enough to hope that is true. Id like to think he spent Saturday night sporting 3 days worth of stubble, sitting in his bathrobe and crying on the couch.

BYU-Virginia was delayed while they were trying to figure out whether to cancel the game because of flooding concerns. The game was delayed for over 2 hours in the middle of it. The horrible muddy slop seemed to affect the BYU high speed option spread.

MD-WVU was just sideways sheets of rain. Maryland mostly won because they seemed less likely to fumble the slippery ball. I think the Mountaineers turned it over 6 times.

You can sort of throw out unexpected results in crazy weather conditions.

I think Mother Nature had more to do with anything in those 2 games.

Was the wvu/maryland game weather delayed? I know the BYU/Virginia game was and also the Texas/BYU game.

I read somewhere that home teams have an advantage regarding the results when playing in weather delayed games.

Certainly looks to have been true this season so far.
