You are right Battlelyon he isn't in there blocking, BUT his play calling has been questionable. The team wasn't prepared at all. 2nd time when a good opponent showed up and kicked the shit out of us.. Players play and coaches coach, and he got outcoached yet again. that roughing call was bogus but outside of that, the offense did nothing and to me that falls on him. We have an issue on the Oline and he didn't fix it in the offseason, and a good team exposed it.
It's not SJ, that's what is concerning with me about him. He doesn't understand that hey, i need to make KEY ADJUSTMENTS. There was a statline where Henderson was 11 - 55 yds on the ground That is about 5 yds a clip to be exact; and you can't see that the formula is working some??? That is what baffles me, how can he be that fucking bone headed; i applaud the D for their effort and it's not on them. Mcvay is just arrogant and it is constantly showing with these stupid decisions whether it be in the personnel signings & play calling. The gift and the curse with these new age coaches.
Problem that i have with that is ... cool you bounce back against a mediocre team, but can't do shit against a playoff contender when it maters. I need to look at the statline for Mcvay's so called 40-0 halftime lead record. How many of those wins are against quality teams vs bad ball clubs.
