Game Thread: Week 5: Denver Broncos at Los Angles Chargers

Well after the first quarter of the season I would say both teams and fan bases are frustrated with their record. This seems like a game the Broncos could win, but they seem to find ways to lose games instead of finding ways to win games. This is the next opportunity to get their first win.

We need turnovers from our D they are not playing to win.

That is the only bad coaching I am seeing from the staff.

They should be going for the ball more and they just are not.

The SB50 D was reasonably good at this.

SB 32and 33 was fun bounch to watch they were Thieves as I recall

Is Parks not good for this system ? last year he was IMO our 2nd best DB.

The good news is - The Denver Broncos will be a trap game for every opponent left on the schedule. We have the league exactly where we want them.

There hasn’t been a game this year I didn’t think the Broncos could win and I believe they have the talent to win this week and the Chargers are not exactly clicking on all cylinders at this point. I think the Broncos can beat the Titans. I think the Broncos can hang in there with the Chiefs and if there are a couple breaks that go their way I think they could shock the world and beat the Chiefs.

That being said I think the Broncos could also lose every game the rest of the year. I don’t believe that will happen but it could.

The Chargers are a beatable team. I thought the same thing about the Jags, but this time I’m right.

Ok seriously, the Broncos have been close in all but one game, and that was the first one. They’ve played two pretty good teams since then and just got edged out by a team that is a little further along in its development.

The Chargers are a rival, albeit a minor one. They have issues on the O-line and despite losing Chubb the Broncos have some opportunities here. I am also hoping to see continued progress from the offense. I hate to say it but scoring 20+ last week was a milestone: they haven’t scored over 20 since week 13 of last year.

I don’t know if they win or not. At 0-4 it’s hard to believe in this team; they’ve just found ways to lose. But this is the Chargers, a team notorious for disappointing fans. All 10 of them.

So let’s see if the Broncos can get something started here.

LAC - DE Melvin Ingram likely to miss time

Los Angeles Chargers LB Melvin Ingram (hamstring) is expected to miss a few weeks because of the hamstring injury he suffered during the Week 4 game.

The Chargers are at home to face the Broncos in Week 5. They will be without Ingram for the divisional game against a winless foe.

This sure doesn’t hurt our chances.

IF the Broncos lose this game, they will be entering uncharted territory. The Broncos have never opened a season at 0-5 in their history. I would love to get our first victory against Phillip Rivers and Company. Go Broncos!!
