If you NEED the starter to put up CY type numbers to have any chance to win, it isn’t the pitching’s fault.
I understand what you are saying but you also expect your ace to post CY level numbers. I get rough patches but Webb has been pretty rocky lately. Still offense needs to step up

Was that Soler's first AB w/RISP all year where he got an RBI?

Now of course everyone was expecting for Soler to hit a double with two strikes and drive in the tie-ing run with two outs... no one ever said this year.

Good try and when do the Giants get the participation trophy for a close loss. I think that's all their going to get this year. SELL :pout:

P.S. Of course it's Ahmed who strikes the nail in the coffin and Ohtani follows up too.

When can we move on from Tyler Rogers as a late inning guy? He is too hittable.

I think he and Walker are both overused and are wearing down
Are you saying that a full season of only having 3 starters who can go 4 IP is having an affect on the bully? You can’t be serious…

Hopefully we start selling before we take 3/4 from the Rox who play at Oracle like it's radioactive.

I'm starting this one to note that according to my dad's 'system' the Giants should win again today. Been tracking this on the MLB board (stopped recently because no one was interested lol)

When a team has a streak of 5 games or more (winning or losing), once they break the streak with a win or loss, they repeat that result their next game. So if you win a game after a long losing streak, you win the next game too (and vice versa). The Dodgers won 5 in a row before the Giants win yesterday...so they are due to lose again today

It's uncanny how well this works. May not work to bet because the lines might take it into account, but it seems to work just as wins and losses. In June the system was something like 20-7 and in July it's been like 10-3 or something close to that.
I was hoping your dad's theory would have proven itself today.

Me too, not that it matters. The Giants are so bad even the system doesn’t work lol

The Dodgers give extra motivation for a win, even if it doesn’t make a difference in the playoff race
The give extra incentive for the fans to want a win. The players don’t really give a shit. Players have said as much in interviews for years.

Schmitt back and playing 2b tonight.
Interesting. I haven’t looked to confirm but I thought Luciano was getting most of the reps as 2nd with Sactown and Schmitt was mainly covering the hot corner

I think that's correct, and part of the reason Schmitt is up...they want Luci to play 2b every day.
