Well, we get our first loss and presently SF is undefeated. This team needs to be disciplined, but that is not going to happen. WE are simply going forward with this mess of a team and we may make the playoffs and we may not.

Or if we do, it’ll be another one and done.

Goff is a turnover machine. Butter fingers. Defense didn't show up. Guess they thought TB going cross country and having trouble protecting Winston it was gonna be defense can play half ass and we'll be ok. Party time during the week.

How can a defense that went nearly three games not giving-up a TD by the pass suddenly fold-up like a cheap suit in storage and give-up 7 TDs all by the pass?

I get that this is 1 game, but they are not a well oiled machine. Overpaying for this turnover prone QB, couple that boy genius inability to make necessary adjustments to balance the game out: i can easily see why he got his ass kicked in the SB. A second coming of Mike Martz is what i see..

I'm still trying to figure out how fucking difficult it is to stop 1 guy that's been burning you the whole game. 1 WR and they left him open every play for a 1st?? Someone needs to wake up Wade Phillips, time and time again i've seen this team struggle to cover 1 guy, CM3, Godwin and there were no adjustments in the game plan. That is piss poor coaching; this 3-4 needs to go as well. I'm sick of hearing commentators speak about how Goff "says he needs to step up and do better in getting the offense going" NO shit, shut up talking about what you need to do and just do it. It's also easy to talk to good talk after you got paid for shitting the bed in the SB--what a joke.

-Arians offense
-In must win situation
-Jameis finally has a good coach and buying into Bruce’s O and has better weapons than Goff
-Rams thought they could coast to a win. (They were lucky they won at Cleveland)

To me, it seems like once we faced Chicago last year, we haven’t really been the same.

Teams might have figured out if you bring pressure on Goff he’s toast because he can’t really move around in the backfield or in the pocket. He needs a perfect pocket and yeah like someone said.. he’s Sam Bradford 2.0 — he just has a better OC and better weapons than Sam did. Problem is McVay goes Mad Mike Martz and totally forgets about the run.

68 passing attempts?? Almost set a NFL record

And unless Mr Genius wises-up and adds more running plays including the Jumbo offense, this year is going to turn to crap in a hurry.

Spot on Jermaine. I am quite sure you remember how Edelmann was allowed to run through our defense in the snooperbowl and Phillips never put a guy or guys on him to at least slow him down all game long. Phillips never made any adjustments at halftime and Edelmann continued to kill us in the second half. Here it is a new season and Phillips is still doing or not doing the same bullshit.

I think it is time to retire Phillips at the end of this season. His defense is outdated and he has favorite players he lets do what they want. Talib playing ten yards off the WR all day and nothing changed.

Meanwhile, Belicheat has revived the 46 with some variations and right now he is undefeated and has the number one D in the league.

I also think it's time for Whitworth to go at the end of the year. From what I've seen, he doesn't look like anywhere near the player he was when we signed him in free agency.

We also can't keep getting off to these sluggish starts every game. Not showing up until the 2nd or 3rd quarter isn't going to cut it against a lot of the teams we'll be playing later in the schedule.

This growing divisiveness falls at the feet of McVay. He has become extremely pass happy probably due to the legal specs of Goff's contract that dictate so many yards per game, pass attempts per game, etc. And it is forcing and unbalanced offense. I think McVay would do himself a favor to rotate in the two rook tackles for Havenstein and Whitworth both who have become growing liabilities. Complacency is now creeping into the Rams and the coaches let it happen.
