It is true. Like I said those units in the 3rd and 4th quarter are usually fighting over about 3 roster spots. So you have about 40 men fighting for 3 jobs. Every mistake is amplified and every big play is talked about to no end.
Every once in awhile one of those guys fall through the cracks and winds up playing well for another team.

I don't know why I continue to be shocked by some of the things you post. 1) Yes I played football in high school. I played WR and DE. 2) I never claimed that TS isn't tough. He played through some very bad injuries last year. You are the one that just assumed that is what I am saying. I was just commenting that he finds himself banged up a lot. 3) If you are only willing to look at a players' NFL time then you are just setting up for failure at not looking at the full picture. NFL teams spend millions upon millions evaluating players for injuries coming out of college. They find any kind of college injury important information. So yes his torn ACL should count towards the overall picture. 4) Just cracks me up to see you trying to associate me calling TS injury prone and asking me to see if I could handle taking those hits. NFL players take hits all the time. It is part of the game. About half the guys on the field weigh 270+ so that shouldn't be anything to talk about the weight of the player hitting him. That also doesn't negate the fact that his first shoulder injury in preseason was him just diving for a guy and missing. Right now he just has to prove that he can stay healthy. That isn't me saying he can't stay healthy or anything I just want to see him make it through an entire season.
So am I. ( shocked that is ). Look Cd, no matter how you sugar coat your TS " praise " you just can't help but throw a negative jab or a " yeah but " in just about every post. I understand your ego over TS winning job over Lynch has taken a serious hit. I can only imagine how many times your going to dismantle any mistakes TS makes early on this season and call out for your boy ! Expect the expected, from me to you , until proven otherwise pal. I'm just thankful all those O linemen you said were great signings, etc are gone or delegated to " emergency " roles. ;) The run game, the pass game, consistency and a healthy Qb, now at least stand a chance. :suds:

I get so tired of trying to explain things to you and you twisting so many things that I and others say. I never said those guys were great. I said they had some potential to be good/great signings if the players played to the potential some had set. I also said that they did not play as bad as some made them sound. Both Lynch and Siemian did them no favors with how far they would drop back from under center. Not stepping up in the pocket and taking a sack is not on the OT. That is on the QB for having terrible pocket awareness. That is also not me saying the OL was amazing though. They had their issues for sure. Especially at the RT spot with Stephenson and Sambrailo.

Next if you would read my posts you would know that my posting style is to present both the good and bad of what I see. I spend a ton of time watching college football with the idea of trying to "scout" a player the Broncos might draft. So I'm looking for both the good and the bad of every player I watch. When I write my notes I have a "the good" section and a "the bad" section. I've done the very same thing with Lynch both when he was coming out of college and during his time with the Broncos. You are just looking for it so much more when you see me post and then see I"m talking about Siemian. And by the way he is a starting QB for an NFL team (my team). The expectations when playing that position for the Denver Broncos is high. I have the same high expectations if/when Lynch gets his chance. Qb's are expected to do well and this team is expected to compete for Super Bowls. We are not the Chiefs or Raiders that are just hoping for a playoff win. So everything I view players for the Broncos is put through that rigorous test of do they increase our chances of winning a Super Bowl? Right now I don't see it out of Siemian. I will celebrate the day he proves me wrong.

Maybe that is my issue...I need to start drinking before reading what you post. Maybe then I can finally understand what the heck you are talking about or how you arrive at the conclusions you do about what people post on this board.

It's still pre-season for you fellas right? Let's not use up all the good insults in pre-season - save some of it for the regular season.

But this is good, now is the time to test out some jokes you wouldn't normally use in the regular season because these don't count. Everyone is just warming up and taking it slow.

Eh....CD and randymon are just an old married couple. Their arguments are like an old pot of coffee on the stove. Bitter, murky and packing a punch. But, we all love that coffee!

NO INJURIES TONIGHT! Anxious to see our offense score a freakin' touchdown or two. Running game also has my direct interest. Lastly, can we please see special teams clean things up. C'mon Olivo! Get those boys into shape.

Yes Sir ! No serious injuries either side, anxious to see O line play, pass rush/ lb/ run D and like you said....excellent ST play. Important game for a running back or two plus wr/te's. :)

I would not play Von. Edelman was injured like 5 plays into the game. You can say its football but Von is 10x more valuable than Edleman

PS. Von is extremely valuable to Denver but losing Edelman ( Brady's go to guy ) is very big hit to NE. Regardless of media or Belicheks track record, the offense is not nearly as lethal machine without Edelman. We saw that Amandola is big drop off with Julian on sideline previously and to expect even Hogan to repeat last year's success, is stretch IMO. Of course when it comes to NE, I'm always wrong. I'm going to say Edelman loss will put Pats in position to lose more games than 4 this year.

Great job not going with Paxton, Siemian has shown us exactly nothing has changed from last year. At least with Paxton there could be potential for an upside with Siemian there clearly isn't. Green Bay doesn't even have that good of a defense and hes really struggling.
