This game will tell us a lot about week 1.

It is a great opportunity for Jamaal Charles. Make or break game for him.

Allen Barbre vs Max Garcia remains tight. Joseph wants to name his starting team after this PS game. This game will be the last chance for many. Many decisions to be made after this game.

I am ready for the season.

Even though Thompson has the better upside because he's younger a healthy Charles has better potential to help this team so I'm hoping he kills it in this game. I'd love to see the Charles of old out there and really bust a few big plays.

Also now that Siemian is the starter I want to see him excel with the 1's instead of how he played against the Bears. He doesn't have to worry about Paxton breathing down his next so there should be no excuse for him not to play well.

The one reason This team might be something special is the year we won the SB we was so physical on the d side ..

If we can also be on the OL this year I will start to believe in this team again .

Right now Thompson is buried on the depth chart. He might actually catch on with another team because of his versatility to play both FB and RB but right now I would say both Charles and Ridley are ahead of him for that final RB spot. If Charles goes crazy in this game and can prove his knee won't regress after a decent workload then the spot is his. If not then I think Ridley is the guy.

I said this before, but I may be the only one that won't be shocked if we only keep 3 RB's. In the end I expect for one of Charles or Ridley to make it, not both. It will come down to Charles knee.

Don't be shocked either if we cut Charles and re-sign him after week 1 due to the guaranteed contract rule. I expect one of the two will be on the opening day roster, but I also wouldn't be shocked if we roll with 3 RB's instead of 4 depending on Booker's health. Or it is possible once Booker is healthy we cut whatever vet we keep if they aren't helping our team much.

Juwan just isn't quite the impact player on special teams to keep around, but my feeling also is that we may not find it real appealing to have a vet RB as our 4th and inactive RB over another spot on the DL, DB field, OL whatever the case may be. At the end of the day if that is what happens it would really depend on the progress of Booker's injury though.

With Henderson looking so good that could really hurt Charles and Ridley. I'm really not expecting Ridley to make it right now I am 50/50 on Charles.

Don't be surprised to see 3 RB's with a RB like Stanley Boom Williams on the PS.

VJ today talked about Booker and they said he will be on the active roster at the start of the season. I may be reading way too much into that but at least to me that sounds very promising that they think he will be back sooner than later.

Yeah. I expected that to probably be the case. It sounded like he was going to miss 1-2 weeks of the regular season. So that is good news. Means his injury most be progressing well.

I am really starting to wonder if we keep just 3 RB's with another on the PS. My gut reaction at first was Henderson makes it as the 4th RB and inactive on gamedays as he develops. But hell. Henderson has looked so good I don't think a vet RB may be needed if Henderson, Booker and Anderson are all beating them out... How is Charles gonna like sitting inactive and will his contract be worth it? Do we really need him at this point? How much does he really help us? I love Jamaal Charles. Was crushed when KC drafted him and would love to see him in a Denver uniform this year, but just thinking here what from a business side. I think Henderson is going to end up being the reason both the vets in camp might get the pink slip.

I agree sir. Especially when right now I'm seeing a bit of a numbers issue at other positions. The possibility of both Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett missing a game or two (although Shaq looks like he could maybe be ready week 1) probably means the Broncos will need to keep at least 1 extra OLB to help out early on. Safety could get interesting with Jamal Carter emerging...so do they keep him and Will Parks or chance it that one of them can make it to the practice squad? WR again could get interesting depending on what they do with Henderson.

My prediction. Charles only plays half and avgs about 3.4 yds per carry on 8 attempts , 2 recepts for 11 yds and one fumble. Ridley gets about same rush yds/avg.No tds. Henderson and Thompson both perform better with above 4.0 avg and more total yds each than Charles and Rid combined and at least 1 td . Most their yds come vs mixture of 2-3 + GB players though. TS plays first half with two td passes, one deflect int and 12-18 with 140 yds. Lynch starts third with score tied 17-17, leads Denver to FG behind run game including a scramble for 15 on third down to keep drive alive. Lynch finishes 6-9 for 60 yds, 26 yds rushing ,two ints, 3 sacks. Sloter mops up with less than minute to go. Denver 24, GB 37.

Yeah- and if Deltha O'Neal could've had a game like he did vs Trent Green every week I'd have been a happy man, and he'd have been a Hall Of Famer.

But- Yes of course! Hopefully he can continue to build of that PS game against the San Francisco 49ers.
