solid running back. I remember OSU was recruiting him back when he was ready to sign for college. He elected to stay hom e. Georgia has a solid running back stable. Pretty good backs out of that school.
Next man up.

Interesting signing with Holyfield... sort of a futures type of signing to get him in the system as another guy for next season - might lessen the need to draft a RB... still think it's 50-50 that Howard will be back next year, depends on his price tag.

Well that game couldn't have ended any better for us. Seahawks got beat up and their hearts ripped out at the goal line. Now they gotta come across the country. I like our chances to keep this run going. Wentz looks crisp. Hope we get some players back.

Eagles 37
Seahawks 27
Good luck.

Will Howard be back THIS year? Unless I missed something, I think that he was on the field for ONE play against the Giants.

I think Doug was being precautions with Howard. I think we will see more of Howard vs the Hawks.

I just don’t think they want to pay him but I hope they do. He is a weapon in this offense.

Unfortunately I think injuries finally catch up to the Eagles in this game. The Brandon Brooks injury is huge when you combine it with Lane Johnson at far less than 100% if he even plays. At RB Boston Scott has done a great job ... but Howard still hasn't had a carry in 8 or so weeks and Sanders, if he plays, is probably at around 70-80%. I know Seattle is banged up as well and their OL is mediocre at best, however Russell Wilson can make a bad OL look good with his elite pocket awareness and mobility. Seattle left quite a few big plays on the field last time we played ... we can't bank on that happening again. Just like last week, I'm going to be doing a lot of finger crossing!

This. I think Jordan wasn’t fully game ready. Healthy but not back in conditioning. I think they were looking for a good point in the second half to see if he could get going and it just didn’t materialize. So they backed off. I don’t think there is any more to it than that.

He should be much more game ready this week, should see more than one snap. But I’m not sure if he is ready to carry chunks of the game.

It’s been finger crossing for me since the first Giants game. No matter who we played this week that was going to continue.

You are spot on with Wilson. This is what scares me the most. He can make time in the backfield and that might just be enough to fully erode anything this secondary has been able to do better. He’s not going to miss a throw like Jones did to Sheppard last week that would have been a sure fire TD.

It will have to come down to something ingenious that JS comes up with to counter this offense. And I just don’t know if I see where this might exist.

As everyone knows, this is Carson Wentz', first playoff game. Will he be a great leader or will he be nervous?
So far, it looks like Lane Johnson, Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders, and MAYBE Nelson Agholor will return.
It doesn't look like Zach Ertz will return. He might be finished for the rest of the year.

Seattle doesn't have much of a running game and the Eagles are very good at stopping the run. If they can stop the run, then Wilson will have to beat them. The Eagles will probably spy him and they will have to put a lot of pressure on him.

The Seattle defense is not one of the better defenses (26th?). The Eagles have to score a lot of points.

If they can win this game, then next week, Desean Jackson is supposed to return. If he is 100% healthy, this will open up the Eagles offense, with finally having a deep threat.
If this happens, then the Eagles may be THE best team in the NFC.

Gotta list Ertz as questionable the rest of the year to keep opposing defenses preparing for him.

If you spy him it has to be with a corner. Maddox could do it. Schwartz needs to keep Wilson guessing where people are coming from.

According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, Ertz's kidney has stopped bleeding and he MAY play.
I'll believe it when I see it.

I've paid attention to the fpi percentage chance of winning for eagles games this year and it's been pretty accurate. Obviously nothing is perfect, but it gives the eagles a 60.3% chance of winning.

Eagles have a shot but it does not look good.
First, the good news: We last beat the Seahawks in 2008 behind Mcnabb. :dhd:

This past November, Russell Wilson had a bad day (15-25) and they still beat the Eagles even with Wentz going 33-45 but a fumble and two ints, and Sanders and Ertz healthy.

2019 Sun, Nov 24 vs Seattle L17-9 5-6 Wentz 256 Sanders 63 Ertz 91
2017 Sun, Dec 3 @ Seattle L24-10 10-2 Wentz 348 Ajayi 35 Agholor 141
2016 Sun, Nov 20 @seattle L26-15 5-5 Wentz 218 Smallwood 48 Matthews 59
2014 Sun, Dec 7 vs Seattle L24-14 9-4 Sanchez 96 McCoy 50 Ertz 39
2011 Thu, Dec 1 @seattle L31-14 4-8 Young 208 McCoy 84 Cooper 94
2008 Sun, Nov 2 @seattle W26-7 5-3 McNabb 349 Westbrook 61 Celek 131

Eagles pull this home game out late in the fourth, 26-24. Wentz must have a 100 rating game and Boston freaking Scott and Goedert must rake in the yardage. More positive if Sanders/Ertz can play.

PF/PA Eagles 385/354; Seahawks 405/398. Go Eagles!
