All in all, this might be the best thing to happen to us. Expectations will be low going into next season. Who is going to predict us finishing better than 3rd in the division, not many.
Barring either Seattle or San Fran going completely stupid in the offseason, I wouldn't expect many expecting us higher than 3rd, 2nd at most.

I have very little confidence in McVay at this point.

He had all last season to figure out how to attack the 6-1 defense teams threw at him at the end of last season and the SB, and he figured out nothing.

I’m not expecting any genius ideas from him this offseason, and probably more wasted draft picks he won’t even bother playing.

Oh, one more thing I never understood about this season.

The Rams traded good draft capital to move up and draft Henderson to help spell Gurley, etc.

However, McVay never used him even when the run game was none existent and needed a boost.

Why the hell did they bother drafting him if they were never going to use him?

Baffling indeed.

Insurance. I like Henderson but he’s not Gurley at least yet. They grabbed him just in case TG’s knee wasn't healthy.

Super Bowl hangover

And the Oline just wasn’t good. They gave Goff happy feet and didn’t really open up a lot for Gurley either.

Rams have drafted dam good for not having first rounders.
Yes mcvay needs to commit to the run more but he needs a dam Oline revamp as well

And I think that should start with Whitworth being let go.

Henderson goes on IR to get a bad ankle repaired. Ramsey's knee injury is being evaluated and articles are emerging suggesting major changes will occur this off-season. Gurley is now the suggested next cap casualty but it doesn't make much sense as it will cost the Rams less to keep him than to move him. Other speculation involves moving Goff to teams looking for a QB like the Raiders and the Chargers and even AD has been included in the list of players who will be moved. Others are Havenstein, Whitworth, Brockers, and Fowler. We shall see and stay tuned.

What pisses me off about this team is we lost to really bad teams like Pissburgh this year. Pissburgh got beat yesterday by the JETS for crying out loud!

The coverage mistake by Rapp apparently was not cleared-up because this blown coverages problem started in Dallas and was never fixed. This has been a re-occurring problem with this coaching staff this year. Failure to get the team ready for the next opponent. Look how bad this team played after the bye week. Having two weeks to prepare for Pissburgh, we looked like we just got back from England or something. For sure, ultimately McVay is to blame for all of these blown opportunities and just a horrible year of ineptitude by genius boy who just outright sucked and really demonstrated his stupidity!

So what is the point in having an Anchor point to build a defense around if you are going to ship out the NFL's best defensive player in AD? That sounds really stupid, but then again i wouldn't put it past this franchise.

If they trade AD, they will lose a lot of fans, that’s for sure.

Fans will view it as a bone-headed move and will lose complete trust in the FO to fix the team by trading away their best player, and therefore will no longer support the team.

Of those names, trading Donald would shock me the most. With Gurley having a much lesser role on offense, Donald will be the big draw for the new stadium next year. I’d be shocked if they traded Goff with his huge contract but it wouldn’t upset me at all. I’d take a Carr for Goff trade and be happy. Whitworth shouldn’t come back as he’s clearly not what he was when we first signed him. Fowler I think will leave since we won’t be able to pay him what he wants. Don’t know about the cap impact of dumping or trading Havenstein and Brockers.

New recent article posits that the Rams can't afford both Fowler and Littleton whose contracts are expired after this week's game. They can't keep those two, who had good seasons this year, and also keep Whitworth, Brockers, and Blythe who is also a FA at the end of this season. Somebody has to go to keep both Fowler and Littleton and also pay Ramsey in the future. The source is Ramswire.

I say let Whitworth, Brockers, and Blythe go along with Allen and trade Gurley and the Rams will have enough to afford Fowler and Littleton. If the Rams' new DC moves to a 4-3, then Fowler should be let go anyways and they would the keep Littleton. Move Brockers to bring in Gaines and others and the D gets improved.

Move Weddle with the return of JJ, may be keep Matthews, and go after LBs and D-Line in the draft and the D with Ramsey is still pretty stout!

Keep AD and find yourself two new DEs. This is why letting Franklin-Myers go was one of the biggest boneheaded moves this franchise made in 2019.

There’s rumors that the Raiders want to move on from Carr. Any chance we can trade for him and give them Gurley and Goff in return?

Give them Gurley and Goff and they give us Carr, two number ones, a third, and a fifth.

We could move Oko to DE with Matthews on the other end, start AD and Gaines/ SJD at the tackles, and bring in Polite at LB who is on the PS, along with Kiser and we have a pretty good D.
