Week 16 Cowboys @ Eagles

Down to 2 healthy receivers ... Ward and Robert Davis. Davis didn't show squat last week ... so it's really just 1 option at WR in Ward. If JJaw plays it will be at less than 100% and even at 100% he sucks, so I'm not expecting much. Unless the D really steps up and we can establish a really good running game .. I have a hard time seeing how we win this game.

I haven’t looked up previous years. But Bill Simmons was talking about it in his pod. He was sounding like it’s been sliding this way for a few years and Vegas has just struggled to adjust for it. The whole concept of 3 points to the home team is ancient history.

Three headed monster of Ertz, Goedert and Rogers can fill those lanes. Get creative Doug. Mix that with Sanders and Scott out of the backfield (maybe even Sanders splitting out wide). There is still a chance to move the ball.

Yep. You got me. I was thinking of Richard Rogers. But it is Josh Perkins. Jesus....I just don’t know a solid chunk of this team at this point. What a year!

Just checked the rosters....Michel is still on the practice squad. I think Robert Davis got the call up over him. Why they don’t free up a roster spot somewhere else and bring another receiver up like Michel is beyond me at this point.

Too late now. I fear that we'll get stomped tomorrow, and miss the playoffs. This year held a lot of hope to get back the SB.

I was going to say stop the run and avoid turnovers and we might have a chance. If darby's out and all we have are ward and ertz and goddaert then the defense is going to have to play like Gang Green from the buddy ryan days to have a chance.

Ok. I’m out of time and am going to swing for it. I contemplated picking Dallas for a reverse jinx. But it’s too obvious to not backfire (I know...like it matters). So I will say this....

Offense is a bit up and down first half. Defense does ok with run but can’t stop an intermediate pass game.

Offense finds more consistency on adjustments in second half. Defense adjusts and the Dline finds ways to get pressure.

Wentz leads a late-ish drive to take lead and defense comes up to stop them to end the game.

26-24 Eagles. On to East Rutherford....

Here's to wishful thinking...we hit on an early bomb then Wentz picks them apart on intermediate routes to TE and RB. Ajaya closes the 4th quarter. Defense hold to 20, Birds score 27.

I'd really like to believe we have a chance in this game ... but there are so many things stacked against us. Trotting out a whole bunch of practice squad targets at WR, missing our Pro Bowl caliber RT, missing Derek Barnett who's pass rush ability would have been a big help against Dak ... I'll be on the edge of my seat and crossing fingers with my non-beer hand.

Who knows who and how many backups and practice squad players will step up and play our of their heads? Stranger things have happened!! I won't predict a score, but one can hope, can't he? Go Birds! All I know is that if we lose today, I hope they lose next week, for a better draft pick. I know that's negative, but I'm being realistic.

Well...there was a lot of right things about the first quarter. If they can keep much of that up all game we got this.

Only thing I saw issue with on offense was getting Sanders out of the backfield.

Great start and then Darby completely misplays a 40 yarder ... luckily we kept them to just a FG
