I switched to the Rams game and Flacco threw a deep ball pick. When he was playing well, his best play was usually chuck it deep and the other team would interfere with his WR for a massive play. I guess he lost that magic. He did however give us the massive QB contract to strap all teams with a good veteran QB, so I guess we can thank him for that...or not...

If a sub 500 team makes the playoffs does that move them down the draft after teams with better records or are they still slotted just on record alone?
Playoffs slot them lower

A safety is a very Joe Flacco way to end the game.

end there. the tires came off awfully quick.
Went from trying to score & tie the game to being destroyed in a short period of time.

The Browns are truly snakebitten but damn, one has to wonder where they would be with Mayfield right now. Not touting Baker by any means but the Watson fiasco is really like some bad karma.

I'm going to rant a little now. The NFL bye system is crap IMO. This week the Raiders, Ravens, Bills, Bears, Vikings and Giants are off. Next week it's the Commanders and Cardinals. That's awfully late in the season. Those very early bye weeks are also kind of lame. While sometimes it can help if the team is banged up, having to play 8 more games before getting that week off is competitively unbalanced. Why can't they just have all the byes take place in a 2 or 4 week span? They could certainly schedule all the AFC off in week 8 and all the NFC in week 9, or 2 divisions from each conference. They could also give 8 teams off in week 7, 8, 9 and 10. That way the teams aren't just getting started or basically in the stretch run and there is less of a competitive advantage.

What I really think they should do is go to a 2 game preseason and play 18 games. Yes, it would need to be in the CBA, I know that. Then they could give 2 bye weeks, staggered out after week 6 and 7, and 11 and 12. That would probably make way too much sense though.

It's getting close to time for the Packers to lose to the Chiefs. LaFluer is 15-0 in December games, but I don't think they get this one.

I wouldn't pick the Packers to win but with the Chiefs being a little meh at times I can't rule out them winning either.

The Packers are playing much better than they were earlier in the season, but they're not playing Chiefs football better. At least not in my opinion.

Chiefs are schizo, though. This could be a bad night for them
