Here is another decision that really has come back to bite the Rams in the McSnead ass. I supported the Rams keeping Hekker over Borjo-boy who they traded to the Packers for a 6th rounder because Hekker has that other skill set of throwing the football accurately on punt fakes which as it resulted ended in a disaster against the Niners. However, Borjo-boy is now the sixth best punter in the league while Hekker is a dismal 27th.

Hindsight is always 20/20 and better and we got draft capital with that transaction and Hekker can throw and complete passes but I guess you win some and you lose some.

Yea ALR. A colossal size error in thinking was made by McSnead. Atwell would have been there in the fourth. WE needed a new Center and Humphrey was there and we just didn't even bother to select him even though we brought the guy to LA for an interview. This was a fundamental mistake by Shit-Fer-Brains and I bet he now knows it. Well, now he can't fix this mess at the Center position and if we do somehow get into the second round of the post-season, I guarantee you Allen is going to cost us in a number of ways.

I would not be surprised if this guy plays through his present contract and then retires at 42-43.

I kind of like the bye week being the week before Thanksgiving. My honey do list from Ms America is huge. Outside lights, inside lights, tree, trains, pickup Turkey and pie, onions don't forget the damn onions.

12-man personnel set and they have the personnel on offense and defense to play this type of football.
I know it was just a typo RR, but I'm not sure if the Rams would have won the last two weeks even if they had used 12 men on offense.
They would have just put another WR out there running routes while Stat-ferd was getting sacked.

Yea I get your drift. That "12-man personnel set" is their name for the Jumbo, not mine but you know that as well.

One way or another Shit-Fer-Brains is going to have to get it through his pass-happy knaggen that abandoning a good functioning running game actually speeds-up a loss especially when coming from behind. Panicking and then doing nothing but passing when the Rams are behind is a death nail and the numbers bear-it-out.

No, I actually didn't know that the Rams called it that, it's suppose to be a 12 personnel set.

As in 'one', RB and 'two' TE's, and not 'twelve-man'.

Sorry RR, I thought the "-man" portion was a typo.

That article sums it up perfectly.

It is all on McVay’s shoulders because he refuses to hire an OC to run the offense, and because he is the HC, there is no one around to check his ego and stupidity during the course of a game.

McGenius should take a look at the TNF game last night. The PATs had a pedestrian QB effort from Jones and still won that game easily. But the balance was lesson. 26 passes to 24 rushes (I pulled out the 6 rushes by the QB). They also had 7 passing 1st downs to 9 rushing 1st downs. And go figure, they won the TOP by 5 minutes!

Yeah, what gets forgotten in all this is that a balanced attack takes time. That time keeps the defense fresh.

All these 3 passes and a punt does is wear down the defense because they are on the field too much.

If McVay would commit to a balanced game plan, not only would the offense improve, but so would the defense.

But he just refuses to do it.

What I didn't like in the article were the excuses made for Moore. Sure they were on the field a lot vs the Whiners, and they were in bad positions early, but only one of those early TD's was a pick 6, the other was given up by Moore 's defense.

Moore never adjusted to stop an obvious to many game plan of running the ball, even after the Whiners had a comfortable lead.

I mean they had 44 rushes to 19 passes, and Moore was playing pass all night!
