This was a high scoring, nail-biter of a game last year.

This is by far Brady's worst WR core. That includes that shit in 2006. I have no clue what expect. The RB's better be ready. The D needs to help this offense.

I'm thinking a Dwayne Allen or a Jacob Hollister has a big game. Vrabel will have a game plan to try and contain Gronk, Hogan and White.

Ha ha thanks my bad. Been dealing with PE1 all day and I was using Vrabel as an example. Just another former Pat. OB will have the game plan.

These two new receivers on the 53 man roster will need to get into TB's "circle of trust" before either of them can be an effective option in the passing game. That is not easy to do. Several veteran WR's have not made that connection in the past (Chad Johnson, Joey Holloway, etc.). I think only one of them stays on the roster, with the other spot taken by an O lineman (probably Cole Croston). The D is, IMHO, stronger than at the beginning of last season, which is good, because defense may need to carry the team until Edelman gets back in week 5. I do not have a really good feeling about the Pats going into the 2018 season, hopefully I am wrong. I felt better about last year's team, although I never drank the koolaid idea of an undefeated season.

Source: the Patriots have waived WR Amara Darboh, claimed off of waivers on Sunday. They are now at four receivers on the 53-man roster again.

Veteran C/G Brian Schwenke re-signed with the Patriots today, per a source. He wore No. 63 at practice. Schwenke was with the team in training camp. Adds another layer of interior backup depth along with Ted Karras.

Left tackle Trent Brown was absent from practice again Tuesday, but according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Brown’s absence is excused, and he will return to practice Wednesday and play Sunday.

Scary matchup week one. I don't have the warm fuzzies about the offense masking the deficiencies on defense. McDaniels has the unenviable task of gameplanning with a serious lack of quicks at wideout. Up-tempo and short drops would be the way to go under normal circumstances, but will be a serious challenge with this group. The Texans will be laser focused on White.
