Texans are planning to kill the screen pass, restrict the running game and keep Brady on the sideline as much as possible. Patriots know this and will change what they normally do open the game with slants across the middle 9-15 yards up field rather than screens. It will take a half time adjustment to change their defense that dramatically. By the time they adjust, the Patriot's will start throwing slip screens and spread the defense.

The other problem that the Texans will have is with the speed on the Patriots defense. This no longer the "Bend don't Break" defense, this is now launch and explode and has the outside guy to square off the corners and force the run inside.

24-17 Patriots.

After a 7 shutdown at my grandson's school yesterday and into late last night, their football game was reschuled for Sunday at 2:00. Looks like I'll be watching it on DVR.

It's 7:30 am and it looks ugly outside. Sky is dark gray and foreboding. My deck thermometer says it's 61 degrees. This is football weather...............

I agree that the Texans will stack the line of scrimmage to take away the run and screen plays in an effort to force Brady to throw the ball downfield. If NE's O-line doesn't play very well, Brady is going to have a very long day.

On defense I am hoping for a jailbreak type of attacking pass rush with bodies (and often an extra) coming from all over the place. Kill Watson, early and often is what I want to see.

Somebody please help...

Not televised here in the Nashville area and I cannot find when NFL Network will rebroadcast it.

Does anyone know how to find that info?

I think/hope Patterson is going to have a big play today. Short pass, make a defender miss, turns into a long touchdown.

Patriots 31-21

Hill was having a good game, but smashed his knee. Dorsett looked very good, caught everything thrown at him. Gronk was Gronk.

Good win for NE.

NEs limited offense looked good. Kudos to Dorsett and Brady for finally getting on the same page. O-line did a nice job protecting Brady against a good D.

NE's D looked good.

NE turnovers will be addressed during the week.

7 for 7 for Dorsett. AND he was where he was supposed to be on every one.

Nothing official but Jeremy Hill looks like he'll be headed to IR. Nothing yet, but "I" think Ralph Webb will get his chance against the Jags.
