I still don't understand why we drafted a WR in the 1st round. Classic Skins strategy: the house is on fire so they decide to mow the yard.

For the record, I love Doctson but we had way too many holes to address before making a luxury pick for a WR.

i am beginning to understand why it might be a better idea to make decisions using your head rather then your heart

Again, I am just not surprised. If you fail in the offseason, you fail in the season. What did we really do in the offseason that gave anybody confidence that we would be good? I love the Norman pick up and the Cravens pick, but the other moves were average at best and we failed to address the glaring holes on this team. Its just that simple. I have said that for some time now.

Because out top 2 WRs are free agents next year and we could lose them both. Imagine how that would impact this team if we didn't have a stud youngster ready to take their place?

Doctson will be a stud hopefully. He is an older WR but I still don't think it was the right move. Football is a win now league. Most of the time I believe in drafting BPA but when your DLine is literally a trainwreck, you have to find a way to address it through the draft. I would have traded back or drafted best DLine available. I don't believe in simply collecting talent, I believe in building a team. Neglecting the DLine might cost SM his job down the road. Hopefully not!

Why in the world would we worry about losing 2 WRs when we have the worst DLine in the league? Its one step at a time guys. Again, you can't be too focused on the future and neglect the here and the now. A top draft pick DLineman would have made a much bigger impact that having Doctson run around out there.

thats the contrast between a coach & a gm tho ... the coach must win now or get fired

while the gm is concerned with the long term direction the ship is sailing

What dlineman should they have drafted when they had their pick?

I agree. But if a coach isn't given the right tools for the job, does it matter what coach you hire? Its a balance for sure. The last thing you want is a revolving door for coaches. We have done that for years now. We have to put our coaches in a place to succeed. I am just surprised that a solid GM and talent evaluater like SM completely dropped the ball with this.

Guys, remember a few years back when KC was issuing picks like he hit the pick lottery? Remember the look on his face then (kinda sullen)? Well, it's back. Gruden and Co. have to recognize this and work on him before the next game.

Outside of the game, Dan Snyder has to get with local officials and do something real quick about traffic or there's going to be some important games where fans leave early and we lose the home crowd advantage, especially in the division.
