Seriously?

I did not know that.

For real. Although I've never seen it used this way.

Unfair Acts ARTICLE 3. The following are unfair acts: a. A team refuses to play within two minutes after ordered to do so by the referee. b. A team repeatedly commits fouls for which penalties can be enforced only by halving the distance to its goal line. c. An obviously unfair act not specifically covered by the rules occurs during the game (A.R. 4-2-1-II and 9-2-3-I).

PENALTY— Unsportsmanlike conduct. The referee may take any action he considers equitable, which includes directing that the down be repeated, including assessing a 15-yard penalty, awarding a score, or suspending or forfeiting the game [S27].

Women have cramps and bleed for a week and are bitches. If you have cramps, you're a bitch

Bitches shouldn't play college football.
My gift to you this Thanksgiving.

Won’t work. Then players would just grab their ankle or something else. Basically you’d have to change the rules if you take a play off for injury you’d have to sit out multiple plays or sit out the series.

They would just send out a backup guy to run out on the field and fall down. There would still be ways around it.

Ive seen teams intentionally commit penalties. Never once have I seen referees award points, have you?

I didn't say that I have seen it, I said that they are allowed to in the rules.

Given that there is already a basis in the rules to address a team intentionally committing penalties to gain an advantage, I see no reason to change the rules. Just enforce the existing rules on the books.

this is probably the best way to deal with it

can't outright penalize players themselves because then you have to somehow decide if the cramp or injury is real and that would be a mess

I'll need to watch for it again to see if I'm imagining things. I do remember awhile back that Iowa needed a defensive stop and had to use two timeouts for the same down following an offensive penalty after a first down run and the other team was able to run out the clock.
yeah that needs to be fixed

also need to fix penalties that overturn a turnover when they had nothing to do with the turnover

example: late hit on the qb when he throws a pick shouldn't erase the pick, just tack on the penalty at the end of the play

Or....don't hit the QB late.

Not until your team burns a timeout but i like the idea, a timeout will allow them to re-enter if taken during/following the injury
And also no other substitutes other than for the injured player unless the other team substitutes.

Fuck it.

Let the "cramped" player lay on the field and we play around him for every down forward. IF said player magically gets up, it is an immediate 15 yard penalty and the player is ejected.

If the defense doesn't want the penalty, then they need to call a timeout and said player can't be on the field the entire rest of the series.

It will still be a 15 yard penalty for douche-baggery. Hell. Maybe even 30.

If you’re up 9 with a minute to go, you can commit 17 pass interferences and time will never be added to the clock. Even if the clock stops, the clock runs during the play and you win the game.

I like the idea of the under 2 minutes if the defense commits a penalty then the offense should get an untimed down. Otherwise, you’re incentivized to put people in danger.
Funny anecdote: Playing Flag Football in College. Running time, clock does not stop on a penalty , each team has two time outs, no goal post so all tries just one point, no on sides kicks, 8 man teams. I played nose guard, we are up 12 points in the Championship game. Opponent had the ball on our 10 yard line, 4 minutes to go. I hit the center before he could snap, then again, then again. One of my teammates said "What the hell are you doing?" Calmly, I said I am winning the game. They scored with about 1 minute to play, took their two time outs on defense and we ran out the clock.
