Perhaps we can increase the number of plays that the player must sit, if the game has to be stopped.

Just have people carry them off in a stretcher right away instead of laying on the ground and surrounding him for 5 minutes.

Whatever the injury, if play has to be stopped for an injured player, he should have to sit out the rest of the series. Doesn't matter if it is cramps, turf toe, concussion or toothache. That will take care of that issue.

Add two members to the officiating crew, both trained and experienced athletic trainers who are independent of teams involved in the game. One is assigned the home sideline, the other the visitor's sideline. They are assigned games like regular officials, you cannot officiate games where you have a rooting interest one way or another. These athletic trainer officials have to clear any injured player to reenter the game after an evaluation.

Just calm down, you ignoramus. I'm referring to all injuries. Cramps are impossible to determine and it's like a backpain. You can say you have one, and it's very difficult to check out with x-rays and other equipment.

I understand what is being talked about, but it's not the same for everyone. If the game has to be stopped, it's probably better for all concerned to take more than 1 play off. Possibly as many as 3 or 4, but not until the ball changes hands or the quarter ends.

There will always be ways to take advantage of the rules, especially with the emphasis on safety, as never before. The NCAA needs a medical opinion on this and not input from spectators who think a fake injury cost them a game.

Now, dunk your head in some water and relax.

That's not a bad idea.

If you have a player on your team that experiences cramps that result in gameplay being stopped, I think we need to up the time required for that player to remain off of the field.

Be it the rest of the series or an established number of plays, I think something needs to be done. Too many occurrences happening at pivotal moments of games.

What say you lot?
