Vigneault takes a subtle jab at McLellan regarding Eager

Q. In some way, knowing that he can’t play like that every game, McLellan said he would put him back in the lineup pending a non-suspension. If he’s running around again being undisciplined, does that help you guys because you could benefit from power-plays?

COACH VIGNEAULT: Obviously if he’s undisciplined and the referees call it, then it’s favorable to us.

That being said, you don’t want players running around trying to hurt people. It’s evident by him challenging the bench, him challenging the bench at the end of the period, his coach saying that’s how he wants him to play, that I hope nothing bad happens because some people are going to have to pay for it

I think coach Vig was also sending a message by having the Sedins out there late in the 3rd period on a Canucks powerplay. Good for him, this isn't peewee hockey.

Pavs is a heck of a player, but his weakness is his speed. Ive noticed it in the past, when the games get real fast he tends to disappear a bit. I think he will rebound and have a good next couple games though, he always battles out there and finds a way to contribute.

Maybe you're reading too much into this?

Anything's possible, but usually coaches would give guys who normally don't get a chance on the PP an opportunity when the game is clearly in hand. I think coach Vig was clearly making a point by having the Sedins out there.

how so? why would you say that please clarify. as I agree with Dash. putting the sedins out tells Eager and the Sharks we will take whatever you got and not shy away. it was almost daring Eager and the sharks to do something more stupid than what was already done.

Who cares? The game was already over. Whether they win 8-3 or 7-3 doesn't matter. AV has to put somebody on the ice. Nucks fans sure are doing a lot of talking. It'll be interesting to see how much quieter it gets if the Sharks manage to win both games on home ice.

apparently SJS does so I would like to know why a general statement is made on what dash thought. AV probably could have put the 4th line out.

what does the second bolded statement mean? quieter for who? us fans? the teams?

Did some chick during the game last night put her tits on the glass when a Sharks player was in the box?

wtf?? i'd say there a lot to talk about on both sides after a game like that.
judging by the ever-growing 200+ post GDT thread on the Sharks board, lots of others agree.

--------------------

interesting tidbit from Bieksa (via Kevin Woodley): Samuelsson was the first on the team to preach playing from whistle to whistle, and forgetting the other stuff. he got kinda teased for it initially, but eventually they all bought in.

I had no idea Sammy had that sort of leadership role on the team.
... Or maybe he just didn't like getting facewashes.

LOL @ me for briniging it up when it was already posted on the same page. :L

Some guy I work with just asked me about it, so I thought I would ask in here.

Since I can't look at the link right now, was she better than the chick at the Panthers game?
