Another point. San Jose doesn't seem to have that stopper guy on defense that Chicago or Nashville had to combat the Twins. The robots were having a ball out there tonight, passing the puck around and creating chances at will.

I really liked Murray's game tonight even though he was an unfortunate -3, but someone has got to step up and make life harder for Daniel and Henrick.

regarding the twins ... I posted this above ... no Weber/Suter ... no Keith/Seabrook .. they must be breathing easy ... and they talked last game about the adjustment they made after the Nashville series was over when they were able to praticce and watch game tape and see that in that series they were getting too close together in the offensive zone ... much different play by them the last couple games ... much bigger spacing and therefore much harder for the sharks to defend

on the Aaron rome goal: 14 passes between the twins on the play before Rome scored. No possession by SJ in between.

I really liked Craig Simpsons comment tonight when Kesler and Murray raced into the Sharks end for a puck that was shot down the ice

"thats like a race horse versus a donkey"

I completely envy your position, Canucks fans, but I sense a little overconfidence... this thing can turn quickly.

Both of our fan bases have witnessed our teams blow a 3-0 lead, not just a 2-0 lead. Overconfidence? Not from me...

Im not overconfident ... i posted above that i believe in the theory that a series isnt over until a team down loses at home ... sharks havent played on home ice so anything can still happen

however the sharks will have to turnaround their game in a major way ... these are 2 possession teams going at it ... and the team that can play with more speed is currently up 2-0

Meh, who besides teh Eager idiot said anything THAT bad? (sorry, no access to any post-game stuff here so completely clueless as to what all was said)
not "that bad" per-se, it just seems that the whole team is wrapped up in worrying about our guys instead of themselves. I've seen the other side of that, and it's tough to change that mentality overnight.

Wellwood - Nucks are scared to lose. which is fair enough to say, but rather odd coming from HIM of all people
Thornton - everything about Kesler right away. Joe is the guy that kes is supposed to try to get off of his game, not the other way around
Clowe - lapierre is a coward. Clowe was invisible in game 1, slightly better tonight. Lappy has at least been an asset.
Eager - Bieksa is a phony (and his whole post game presser made him look like a complete putz)
Boyle - team full of divers
that's all I can remember for now. of the locker room interview, Pavelski was about the only one saying "We" have to be better, instead of "they" whatever.

And yet the puck is nowhere near the bench. I've seen that let go too many times to believe that has to be called. The refs knew it was a possible turning point and weren't gonna allow it. Can't let the Sharks get a breakaway by god.
I'm not going to argue with you anymore. My opinion is, that's a call that HAS to be made, as he was the guy that came off the bench, and a scoring chance came of it. end.

I may be a complete homer, but I think Jumbo has been the best player in the series. Sad thing is, the next best Sharks might be the 6th or 7th best player in the series.
I think you are right, there.

when two of Van's lines are flying (right now it's Sedins and 3rd line, but it doesn't matter which two), and the defense are jumping in with confidence, Canucks are VERY difficult to stop. We've seen in both games, that wave after wave will wear any team down. But when you have limited depth on defense.... hoo boy.

one thing that surprised me from the Sharks was how many times a Canuck was available WIDE OPEN in the slot. Just poor coverage.

If you have watched the Sharks over the course of the last few years, he is not thin skinned.

I think he is pretty banged up, and it is making him almost useless right now.

I just wish the media would be consistent (yeah, I know fat chance) when players perform the same actions. PK Subban does a fake "drop of the gloves" and gets roasted for it, Lapierre does a fake "drop of the gloves" and he's being clever.

/I should preface my comment with the fact that I can't stand Lapierre...
