I just wish the media would be consistent (yeah, I know fat chance) when players perform the same actions. PK Subban does a fake "drop of the gloves" and gets roasted for it, Lapierre does a fake "drop of the gloves" and he's being clever.
/I should preface my comment with the fact that I can't stand Lapierre...
regarding PK, Im just gonna say ... theres an undercurrent that no one wants to talk about ... we can laugh it up and mock the thought but imo theres no question Subban takes alot of grief because "he's not like everyone else"

really? I don't get that vibe at all.
He gets a lot of grief because he is a.... well, let's say an "incredibly confident" rookie. call him 1-10, if you will.
Yeah, I agree, and maybe it'll just take some time (and I will say that PK does need to mature) for perceptions to change. I'd sure love to have PK on the Flames though, he has a boatload of talent.
from Peter Tessier:
There's a rumour going around that Thornton, Boyle and Eager had a heated exchange post game
I sure wonder if the Sharks will rally or crumble.
4 goals were scored by guys wide open in the slot, bieksa was blown coverage...
Sharks have a shitload of things they need to adjust - is a change of venue enough to do it?
they'll come out like bulls in the first period, but they kinda did in games 1 and 2 as well.
NHL won't be pursuing further discipline against eager, fwiw
as BMac says, "it wouldn't surprise me if the Vancouver Canucks say don't suspend him – because he's a bigger detriment to his team in the lineup, than out."
Hard to believe that the Sharks were a post away (inside of the post as well) on a Eager shot from a 2-0 lead in the 1st period last night when you look at the final score.
