I just wish the media would be consistent (yeah, I know fat chance) when players perform the same actions. PK Subban does a fake "drop of the gloves" and gets roasted for it, Lapierre does a fake "drop of the gloves" and he's being clever.

/I should preface my comment with the fact that I can't stand Lapierre...

really the first bit of "Habs Lapierre" we have seen this year with the wacky facial expressions

regarding PK, Im just gonna say ... theres an undercurrent that no one wants to talk about ... we can laugh it up and mock the thought but imo theres no question Subban takes alot of grief because "he's not like everyone else"

Yeah, I agree, and maybe it'll just take some time (and I will say that PK does need to mature) for perceptions to change. I'd sure love to have PK on the Flames though, he has a boatload of talent.

really? I don't get that vibe at all.
He gets a lot of grief because he is a.... well, let's say an "incredibly confident" rookie. call him 1-10, if you will.

nothing like a "1-10" ... he actually is respectful, listens to his coaches and wants to learn and get better

i think its putting our heads in the sand to say alot of the old boys in the pro hockey world arent holding him up to a different standard

opinions will change though ... I think 4 of the top 8 OHL bantam draft picks were players of colour

Something that still worries me about this series: the Sharks PP is 100%, 3/3 so far. Not a factor YET but the games in SJ might expose the Canucks PK and it has to get better before this series is over.

from Peter Tessier:
There's a rumour going around that Thornton, Boyle and Eager had a heated exchange post game

I sure wonder if the Sharks will rally or crumble.
4 goals were scored by guys wide open in the slot, bieksa was blown coverage...
Sharks have a shitload of things they need to adjust - is a change of venue enough to do it?
they'll come out like bulls in the first period, but they kinda did in games 1 and 2 as well.

survive the first 10 mins and then get into your game. Canucks have done it both games. Now San Jose has the last change. Im not sure if that will affect the Canucks as much as they are firing on all cylinders. i agree with wolf that the 3/3 PP for them is concerning but the fact we have taken 3 in 2 games and have 8 PP goals in the last 6 games counters my concern for that. I would like the PK cleaned up but San Jose has alot of guns and that will be difficult. hold them to 1 per game and Ill be happy as long as we score 2 per game :)

NHL won't be pursuing further discipline against eager, fwiw

as BMac says, "it wouldn't surprise me if the Vancouver Canucks say don't suspend him – because he's a bigger detriment to his team in the lineup, than out."

Hard to believe that the Sharks were a post away (inside of the post as well) on a Eager shot from a 2-0 lead in the 1st period last night when you look at the final score.

Jason Botchford had it right ... he first mentioned Sammy was playing through a sports hernia issue in January

today he had successful sports hernia surgery ... out for the rest of the playoffs

which begs the question ... when is manny coming back, Jason?

I think the entire Sharks fanbase has a pretty good idea, unfortunately. :censored:

on the Seeking Stanley shot, they had remixed that shots thing to his beatdown of #12.
Quick work, it was pretty funny.
