Mattola chiiiilllllllllllll out dude... I was just saying I doubt AV putting the Sedin's out on his PP was much more than him putting his first PP unit out there. My statement was pretty self explanatory, I though Dash may have been reading a little too much into it.

Besides, the Cancucks didnt seem all too intent to score on that PP, I dont think they took a shot. I really doubt AV was putting the Sedins out there to rub it in. Just my two cents.

Randy Hahn's (color commentator for the Sharks) Facebook Status- FWIW

"43.1 Checking from Behind – A check from behind is a check delivered on a player who is not aware of the impending hit, therefore unable to protect or defend himself, and contact is made on the back part of the body. When a player intentionally turns his body to create contact with his back, no penalty shall be assessed."

his follow up status:

"That's according to the NHL rule book. Seems to me all the calls made by the refs and non suspension of Ben Eager were and are appropriate."

I would agree with that. Daniel didn't turn away because the hit was coming, but he had just turned a moment before. I think people calling for a suspension are a little over the top.

Keys to the game for Vancouver

- stay out of the box
- stronger PK if in the box
- strong PP if SJS takes the pims
- keep Eager out of the play and in the box
- keep thorton,heatley,marleau contained
- allow one goal only to Couture :)
- get to Niemi early
- score the first goal

Ill add to that ... Luongo has to make the big safe in the first 10 minutes because the Sharks will be coming with shots from everywhere

/ as for the bold:

I watched that Aaron Rome goal again last night and i iso'ed on Ben Eager as the Sedins just passed around and cycled and skated around him. He was lost on the ice ... anymore spinning in one spot and he would have drilled a hole in the ice

just ridiculous how long they held possession of the puck and passed it around

I hope Eager plays 10+ minutes
