here's one to cheer up the SJ faithful...

Luongo hasn't won IN San Jose since 2007.
(Canucks won both games there this year, but Schneider was in net.)

Hey guys. New here, great site, thanks postmaster for the invite. Good to see some common sense for a change, lol. God, ESPN gets worse every day.

Anyway, as much as I would like to see the Canucks bury the Sharks, I have a feeling tonight the Sharks will come out strong and play a much better game. They played horrible the other night and should be embarrassed and I don't see them being that bad again tonight. The home crowd should give them a lift. They had better clean up the sloppy turn-overs in the middle of the ice and someone besides Thornton needs to show up for them. I think this might be a close, great game to watch.

Welcome bro, I agree. I think the Sharks wont be buffoons like they were in Game 2. If I was the rest of the Sharks team, I would have had Eager in a kick circle, lol. Also, if you would like the Canucks logo associated with your posts, just click on "user cp" in the top left of the page. Then go to "edit details" on the left column, scroll down, and choose your favorite team and hit save.

Welcome Tacoma.

the optimist in me says that San Jose has SO many things to fix in a short amount of time... don't know if they can do it.
- 4 of the Nuck goals were scored by a guy standing alone in the slot,
- Bieksa breakaway was also blown coverage
- Rome's was after 14 passes where the sharks didn't get a sniff.
And then there's that whole discipline thing.
If the Canucks happen to get the first one, the pressure on SJ really starts to mount.

the pessimist remembers that Chicago turned it on with the flick of the switch in last year's playoffs.

Thanks for the welcomes guys and thanks Jeff for the info. I agree with you on the kick circle thing but it wasn't just Eager. As captain, Joe Thornton needs to get in these guys' face and tell them to knock it off after the boarding call. That was enough "revenge" for Marleau, (although there shouldn't have been any, Marleau dropped the gloves without any help) and the Sharks were still in the game going to the third. How McLellan and the leaders like Thornton didn't settle those guys like Eager and Clowe down in the break boggles the mind really. If anything, the Marleau fight should have inspired these guys to play better and get skating. Instead, they lost all their discipline and didn't give themselves a chance.

I just found it hilarious what Roenick said in the second intermission. That the Marleau fight could be the turning point for the Sharks to go and win the series. I almost shit myself when I heard that... I understand what you guys are saying, that he isn't a fighter and that just the act alone should have fired his team up... But he got his ass lambasted by Bieksa.

Lol...yeah Marleau did a great job of blocking Bieksa's punches with his face. I thought roenick was pretty over-the-top too. Could have lifted them for the third period to at least give a better effort, though.

Come on, lets be real here. Its not like Bieksa got any huge hits in. Bieksa won the fight 10-9 but people here make it sound like Bieksa curb stomped him.

A curb stomp on the ice with skates wouldn't be so pretty... But Bieksa got a few good ones in, whereas Marleau got none in.

No use arguing over it... But Roenick was truly showcasing why he should not be commentating.

Yeah, it was a pretty average tilt as far as fights go. Pretty one-sided but then again, Marleau isn't a scrapper. Honestly, I give the guy a lot of credit for going for it and giving a respectable showing for himself. SJS, didn't mean anything by it, dude.

Kinda getting a feeling of a big time Sharks rebound game tonight. First 10 minutes of the game will be a good indicator of how the game will go.

5-2 Sharks
