N.E. played only a handful of their starters, and pulled the rest after a series or two, So almost everyone Washington QB's faced were backups or "scrubs" as you call them.

Perhaps, you should look beyond his numbers in that HOF game. I did because I wasn't looking for production per se, (I know he can produce,) but those things that he didn't display very well when here.. better yet this;

For all of his faults, TH, hasn't been in a situation in which he could develop consistency with his limitations. We have seen flashes, but, metaphorically speaking, that's exactly what you get when flicking a cigarette lighter before it finally flames. The question for TH is where that opportunity lies. I don't think that he fits well here, ( his mobility hides this fact) but with the advent of M. Jones who's better but has similar limitations, N.E is perhaps a better fit as a backup.
