They were horrible for both sides. First in the spots. WFT got screwed twice on spots and the Pats once. All three cost first downs. The official could not keep up with the play on the field and was out of position always running from behind to mark where he ""thought"" the ball should be placed.

The 2 pt. conversion was a catch and so was Meyers' at mid-field that cost the Patriots another first down.

That crew needs a kick in the balls by Nordin.

We didn't blitz much last night and kept things pretty straight forward on defense. With Sweat, Ioanidis and a few others out, I'll give the defense the benefit of the doubt. Payne, Allen, Settle and Young played and struggles stopping the run. Jamin seemed fairly invisible last night as well. I think the defense will be our strong suit and will carry us in some games but last night looked like preseason game #1.
As for the offense, Scott Turner has me worried. In just 2 games last night, I saw some very mixed and unusual formations, getting the ball out quick stuff and alot of nice underneath combinations to free guys. I'm not seeing that from Turner and his offense. I'm hoping the play book expands drastically as the weeks unfold moving forward. I like Fitz, I really do and want him to succeed however, Taylor gives us an added dimension Fitz does not.

Per usual the game plan was vanilla. They aren't going to show the regular season stuff until regular season. Fitz can run or move in the pocket, that isn't always the goal. Did he get sacked? Fitz threw for over 7 yards per attempt, TH under 6 yards and Montez under 5 yards.

I liked Cosmi a lot, was pleased with Patterson, Brown looks like he will be a player. Stupid mistake by Payne. It was pretty much an even game. Hopkins is not dependable. Bad pass by Montez on the pick. Luckily there wasn't a pick on TH. The DB dropped that pass into coverage. Continue practice and on to the next game.

i agree , but i will say our qbs did play pretty good with a few mistakes here and there

Agree, none were outstanding and none were terrible. Not a bad first effort for the first time playing for two of them and the first time TH's first preseason game.
