Head to head means something if it's a championship game like a conference game. It's called a "season" for a reason. Teams get seasoned for the end of the year tournament.

That true, but in the real world the mid-majors cannot afford to lose games at any time of the year. Teams with 27 -5 records have been left out, while 19-13 have gotten as they were allowed to mature. A 27-5 team (and this has happened) that wins its season but losses its conference tournament championship game should never get bounced for a 19-12 7th place P6 team that got nowhere in its tournament.

I actually think UCF as actually somewhat of a decent basketball team. But to claim a 6 point head to head win over a bad Alabama team is enough to get you solidly in the tournament is just being downright bias. 0 Q1 wins is really tough. Go beat Houston and/or Cincy and then we'll talk. They're having a great year, but until they beat a good team it could just be a circumstance of schedule.

Nobody is sitting here claiming FAU, Mizzou, or Wichita St. is better than UCF because they beat UCF head to head. You have to be able to see it both ways. But UCF fans seem to have a tough time doing that ever since their "National Championship". H2H doesn't matter in college basketball because it's such a small sample size.
