That's just coach talk...

... what else is the team gonna say, "Ben's a problem and he has to go"?

Yes!

I do not see a team trading for him

Is he nursing an unreported injury? He did miss some time with knee soreness during the regular season. Did trade rumors mess up his head? Something in his personal life? Tough to say without some inside info...
Baseball players or golfers have been known to get the yips...maybe it was something like that.

I mean, Doc was asked if he could be the PG for a title team and he didn't say yes.

Why did Ben Simmons go to Wawa?

Cause he’s avoiding the Dunkin’

Oh we're doing this now? OK, so first we'll remind everyone about that time you told us you were convicted of statutory r*pe for having sex with a 15 year old when you were 20. Didn't happen? Well we can both type whatever bullshit we want here, it's the internet. Doesn't make it so.

But here's a great chance for you to embarrass me, just show everyone here those posts and they can all have a good laugh.

You won't of course, they don't exist.

I mean, I get it Monty, people are tired of your act so when you pop into threads with racist and/or idiotic trolls and you are ignored it burns you up and you have to get crazier to get attention. Yesterday was fun, when you tried to get some action by saying the Hawks two white guys were why they were winning, and everyone ignored you.

But here I am, not ignoring you...so go on...find the posts and make me look bad.

You're a terrible liar Monty.
you sound shook man....geez.

Simmons just finished , what ? 2nd in defensie player of the year? hes 24 and signed long term

hes not the first guy to shit himself in a playoff series.

I still think he has very very high value to many teams in the league.

He might get traded just because you have Embiid and Harris- the team construction was never great- but if they do trade him they will get a lot.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Nets traded Kyrie this offseason either.

And Morey dodged the question too today. He is gone.

He needs a jump shot. Otherwise, hard pass. The modern nba requires almost every player to have range. You can get away with a C that can’t shoot 3s, but not a PG or Wing. I was never a big fan of his game.

Several teams will make offers. But, they won't get as much as a few seasons ago.

Would the 76ers do it?

I think if they can find a team willing to send back a piece or pieces that’s a better fit with Embiid/Harris they go and make the deal. It’s the same Sixers story for years. Simmons at one time was the centerpiece in a deal that could have netted them Kawhi. They played wait and see with a potential unicorn and now it’s cost them value in the asset. But these hot takes here that the asset has been destroyed is driven by the recency bias of a poor playoff series. If he doesn’t get better at all from here, he’s an NBA All defense guy who can guard 1-5 and is one of the better transition players in the league. Now add in the potential of the kid having a come to Jesus moment in which he is knocked down a peg from having a team quit on him and that could become motivation for a team to get a player who comes closer to reaching their potential. It wouldn’t be the first time in sports where an immature coddled kid had a message sent and the player responded. I don’t think he becomes that guy in Philly. If that was possible there would already be evidence of development on those fronts where he is weak.

He's definitely not long for the Sixers, but I could definitely see him coming back for at least part of next season before he is dealt.

I personally found the remarks about the rest of the roster more illuminating. It seems clear Howard won't be back either and that they are going to add some more size as well as perimeter shooting. Maybe Harris moves to the 3 spot, or they at least add some better backup bigs.

I would be cool to see him on the Pelicans. I dont know what teams would be willing to give up to take on him along with his problems/issues shooting then paying him that max contract money for the next 4 years.

Strangest one I remember was when Dodgers 2nd baseman Steve Sax suddenly couldn't accurately throw to 1st. Bizarre.
