And why take the image of X-Pietro rather than MCU-Pietro?

There has to be a reason. Too much focus on the “recast” in the story, and too much focus by the fans on how the merge will happen for it just to be a “why not?” explanation.

It's definitely a good question and a lot of fun the MCU is doing it and not telling us why just yet.

I'm not willing to say Mephisto just yet, but it's still out there. Does Mephisto have any ties to Agatha?

Just because Wanda created them doesn’t make them real. I would consider them constructs. I have no idea what that actually means, though, outside of them not having a “real world” counterpart.

I cant imagine Evan peters being anything besides Pietro/Quicksilver... I mean there are red herrings and then there is a flat out tease... if you were going to have him be any other character, then then the recast was unnecessary...

My bet is that its the X-Men Pietro, but when he was dragged from the other world(however it happened) he is under someone elses control... once the real bad loses(whoever it is) im sure he will get control of himself again... But I am sure that is going to be a Dr Strange issue... and Dr Strange will somehow connect the Marvel universe to the X-Men universe...

Decent episode. A ton of Wanda backstory, and we kinda learn who Agatha is.

However, the whole Pietro thing is beginning to get aggravating. His only mention in this episode is that Agatha “messed up with him”? WTF is that supposed to mean? Was/is he a construct or the actual X-Pietro, but mind wiped? He was 100% Agatha’s doing, and she doesn’t have the power to create someone out of nothing, so he MUST be X-Pietro, pulled through the barrier, right? And maybe Agatha actually doesn’t know who he is. She “searched” for “Pietro”, and the only one there was the X version. She didn’t know who he is or where he is from. But she doesn’t really care. He met her needs as much as she was able.
