Read something this morning the Pats are looking at a punter from CFL and an Aussie. Seems to be some divide between Jake Bailey

Bill said that Bailey and Jones have been reinstated.

Bailey has filed a grievance against BB and the Patriots for the suspension. He claims that he followed medical and training advice to a 'T' and was given no reason for the suspension. He has $2.75M guaranteed this year and the suspension nullifies it. The NFLPA is behind him 100%. This could be another unnecessary mess.

Years ago I brought my 2006 Lincoln LS into the dealer because it would not start/battery was not holding a charge. Turns out it was a faulty fuel pump, covered under warranty.
When I picked up the car I noticed a note in the service log that stated "Customer not changing engine oil".
I went straight to the dealership manager and demanded they remove the statement asI changed my own oil and had receipts to prove it. I did not want that as part of the cars "Permanent Record". After talking to the service manager, he told me that it was only a note that I was not bringing it in to have the dealership change the oil, but the comment was removed.

It very well could be something like this. Doc told Bailey to do blah blah blah PT and that he should be to XX lbs by a certain date, Baily was doing his PT but somebody scribbled down "Not doing XX lbs" and Bill pulled the rip cord without the whole story.

That makes perfect sense to me. He has worked with BB before so there are likely scenarios that he wants more control of, sort of minnie GM for the offense.

Can I hire my own O Line Coach?

Do I have control over which players are released or added?

How involved will I be in the FA market?

How much cap considerations do I have?

The punt game was awful. KOs were also a problem. The team gave up 3 KO returns.
Bailey was also suspended by the team for the last two games. So who knows what's really going on there? Also after his rehab is he 100%? Bill wants some camp competition?

The first of the three shouldn't count. The hold was egregious to the point the league should consider adding penalties, not as reviewable by themselves, but callable when seen in an already called for video review. There's no way that touchdown happens without the hold.

The other two were probably poor coaching in response to a key member of the squad being out.

According to the "know it alls", Shawn Jefferson interviewed Friday. Gillette Stadium is now a tomb. BB, Patricia have been seen and of course the Krafts have been seen going in and out of the front door. Most of the working staff had the week or more, following the last game, off from work. Only critical staff were on the job.

Some folks believe the gig is up and Bill O'Brien will be the OC. Others believe that he's in line to interview for the AZ Cardinals and the Carolina Panthers HC positions. There's some that believe if OB does interview for other positions, Adrian Klemm will be the choice. He's got a solid background handling the Steelers OL, handling the RB game calls and has leadership experience as an Asst HC with the Oregon Ducks. No other candidates have as wide a range of offense experience.

Dead silence about what Jerrod Mayo will be doing. A shit ton of guessing. As the silence becomes more deafening, there's a sense that Steve Belichick might be going either to a Div. I college position as DC or and Asst DC/DB Coach in the NFL. This will allow Mayo to takke the DC position officially as well as an Asst HC position as well. It is a fact that Mayo is staying. He had to have been promised something better than HC or the Carolina Panthers or he would not have stuck around.

Historically, BB has dragged his feet when making any kind of staff or personnel announcements. All indications are that Kraft and BB came to an agreement to show their cards immediately in 2023 when something has happened. Bill still seems to be dragging at least one foot.
