$16.525 million per for Giroux and Voracek. The Pens are paying $18.2 million per for Crosby and Malkin. Giroux is 27 and Voracek is about to be 26. Crosby is about to be 28 and Malkin is 29. Even if there is a slight difference in performance, we're paying less for our elite players and they are a bit younger, so I feel better overall about the situation.

Regardless, I think we're all partial to our guys anyway. Voracek this past season and G in recent seasons have both proven that they are capable of making serious runs at the Art Ross. They have both arrived and then some. Worth every penny.

It's not G and Jake's fault that the team hasn't ultimately had success - this team needs to have better depth and better usage of their secondary players - these guys carry the team way too often - great teams have everyone contributing - those guys are worth every penny and they'll continue to be great
