That second and third will be almost a 3rd and a 4th. Realistically speaking.

And Von Miller takes most of the veteran leadership on the Broncos team with him.

I don’t hate this trade. I wonder if the Rams will try to extend him. Or what the off-season holds for Vonster.

At least I got to have Von as my avatar for one day.

And bottom line is we get a 2nd and 3rd - and best we would have received in compensation for losing him is a 3rd rounder in 2023.

It appears the Rams have two 3rd rounders next year. I haven’t seen any clarity on which third has been traded.

• 2nd round (1): Own pick
• 3rd round (2): Own pick + compensatory pick (Brad Holmes hiring)
• 4th round (0): Traded to Texans in Brandin Cooks deal
• 5th round (1): Own pick
• 6th round (0): Traded to Patriots for Michel
• 7th round (2): Own pick + pick acquired in Aqib Talib trade

Not quite a 1st, but a good haul nonetheless. Really sucks to see him go. Von always gave his all and really sounded like he wanted to be a Bronco for life. But we weren't competing and he deserves to be on a contender. Will always be a Broncos great as a SB MVP and ruining Cam Newton's career.

Many Bronco fans will cry about this but it is a smart move. Glad he is going to the Rams and not the Cowboys. Which could still happen this offseason. Good love by Denver. He wasn’t coming back. We are at least loading up on picks and getting his contract off the books after this year.

Also want to add. The past 5 years have been tough as a Bronco. Kudos to Von for handling this situation like a true professional and leader. Sure, he made his mitakes early in his career but the professionalism and leadership he showed during the struggling years is something I have always admired and will admire him for.

And I hope Patton drives a good bargain for almost anyone on the team. would I trade Sutton for the right price? Probably since he is also a UFA after this year. What about Lock…or even Bridgewater? Sure thing. Hey Tennessee, how would Gordon look in your backfield this year now that Henry is down? And you Tampa Bay, you need a corner? Depending on what you give up we have options!

Seriusly, when even Mingo has soured on this team, it’s time for major changes. I’ve never believed that incremental changes in a bad situation result in dramatuc improvement. And that’s what we’ve tried for the past 6 years without being successful.
